Joe Calzaghe THE Super Middleweight Champion of the World:yep

You got a belt?? Good 4 U!!!!!!!!!! It paper in title.

Amsterdam hit another one?......He's known to do that on "occasion":D

Yet he did have 1 wrong pick this week:yep :D

Given the quality of opposition faced, the swelling support, and formiddable skill of Kessler? Joe showed everyone what being a Real champion is all about.
Amsterdam dubbed Ol Joe, "Supernatural"......LONG TIME AGO:happy

Yeah, he has been a fan of Calzaghe for a long time, and I'm glad his favorite fighter is now getting the respect and props he deserves.

He has deserved it for a while now....and as you said, Im glad he finally got his due. I remember first seeing Calzaghe in the Eubank fight (not live, someone told me to check it out a little ways after the fight) and I could see he was phenominal...even back then.

Since then he has been one of my favorite fighters....hell he made me a nice sum off that Lacy fight (THANKS JOE!!!! ).

But now I must bow out of the brotherhood...as I feel he is going to lose to Bernard (dont miss me too much guys....:| ).

Im just not looking forward to 24 hours a day of CHJ posts about Joe's supernatural ability, stunning good looks and crossword puzzle solving skills.

    :nut

Seriously tho, a great win for one of my fav fighters. Cheers to Joe on this one!!!

Yeah, he had the potential to be something amazing, even though it's come around, it'll always be a shame that his resume doesn't reflect the ability and skill of this great champion. Eubank was a hell of a scalp though at only 21 fights.:yep

Glad he made you some money, as long as JC doesn't decline too much, he's almost a sure bet vs. anybody in the current scene. He made me a good pile of cash off Kessler and Lacy both.

After all the disrespect, the Lacy fight gave him so much, they recognised him as one of the pinnacle elite's, but still bashed him. Now in defeating Mikkel Kessler, they recognise him on the H2H level of a guy Roy Jones, just phenominal and entirely difficult for anyone to beat.

A long way from idiotic fans calling him a ducker and a ***** and glass jawed and overrated, all the while propping up jokes like Jermain Taylor.:yep

But you know, there probably a lot of awesome guys like JC that will never be able to break out due to how skewed the boxing fan is.

If we ever meet up and hang out, please show me where you are buying your herb from, as that's some powerful stuff.

    CHJ is awesome.:D

Yes, it's a great decisive victory, he outclassed one of the best fighters around and it means a whole lot. I personally think Kessler is a future HOF'er, possible ATG depending on how his career goes, but he has the skill and ability to defeat almost anybody around.

If Kessler goes on to have a dominant reign of his own at SMW, Calzaghe's defintive victory over him, particularly so late in his career, will look even MORE impressive than he already does.

I didn't start out as a Calzaghe fan - really was indifferent to him. But the constant barrage of criticism he received prior to the Lacy fight - and even after - made me root for him to prove his vocal critics wrong. And he did, in a BIG way! :nod

At least we agree on that, it's clearly evident to anybody who wants to see it that JC-B-HOP prime/prime is a close fight and that now it's a mismatch.
