    I think he realized that CW was still too deep for him to win a title. Coupled with a hard career he probably realized he would just take more damage without much reward.

    He was one of my favorites after giving Stevenson some work and going on to beat the dog **** outta Chavez Jr. super bum ass.
    Too bad my dog Joe Smith Jr. spoiled it for him but Fonfara was a solid fighter.

    He had a huge following in Chicago. I saw a Shobox fight one time at the Pavillion about 1/2 full. After he fought, about 100 people stayed for the main event. Man it was a pitiful sight to see.
