Great video, like always. I agree when you said after Ruiz won the heavyweight titles, he lost most of his desire to box. He didn’t live like a champ something something “silk sheets,” whatever generic comment is probably true. However, I think you overemphasize Ruiz’s skill in the first AJ fight. Yes, his game plan was better, but he was getting whooped until AJ misread Ruiz, thinking he was more hurt than he actually was, and went for the kill without thinking. But props regardless to Ruiz for capitalizing on the moment. Definitely a skilled fighter; after he warms up, I want to see him with Moses.
Very good video. Drive isn't there. There is a part of him that still wants it, so he comes out, makes some noise, and then goes to his favorite restaurant rather than the gym. I'd like to see him against Wilder, Joshua trilogy, Parker rematch...but it's not happening.
Saw him down KFC with Tyson Fury and big baby miller a few weeks back, as I was walking past them out of the restaurant I heard "oi that last buckets mine you big dosser" and saw all three fighting over their last KFC shared wing bucket. Miller ended up on the floor looking for his hairpiece and Ruiz Jr couldn't reach Fury who was holding it above his head like a hungry dog.
If Joshua is having a tune-up next instead of the Fury fight, then Fury should stay active too and fight Andy Ruiz Low risk, high reward fight for Fury. Ruiz has name recognition among the British public so Fury-Ruiz easily sells out any UK stadium Also hypes the Fury-Joshua fight with Fury conquering AJ’s former conqueror
Won't happen. Fury won't ko ruiz. And while makhmudov is super big and menacing looking, fighting to a decision with someone looking like ruiz will shock the precious casuals that our cashcows want to impress so badly.
Yeah I agree Fury wouldn’t stop him, but he’d win every round. It’s true that fighting a small chubby guy like Ruiz doesn’t look as good for the casuals as big Makh - but Fury is at a stage of his career where he doesn’t want the smoke from any real competition like Wardley/Dubois/Itauma, so there’s only a small number of remaining opponents that are both sellable to casuals as an actual contest (Ruiz holds name value from the Joshua win), and commercially viable to be worth it for Fury to want to get into camp for another few months. But yes, as boxing fans we know it’s not a competitive fight
If you can sell makhmudov who is unknown by any casuals, you can sell anyone who's big and slow. Ajagba, bakole, miller,... Why not even jalolov None of them should win, but they look way more interesting than ruiz. The only name required is 'fury'. Btw how is jalolov on #17 in boxrec?
