I agree on both counts. IMHO there are some problems with BJS, just like his buddy Tyson Fury, and the alternative might be vacating/retiring/fooling around for ages; so I'd be glad to see the June fight signed regardless. Perhaps he can get motivated and into shape for a GGG fight, facing another tune-up will likely see an unimpressive BJS again IMHO. edit: He turned down Rosado last year for good money, something must be wrong IMHO ...
I don't wanna analyze step aside/mando/etc. That's his promoter's job, all I want to see is him fighting and we're into April schedule and he has nothing lined up. Guy's a clown.
BJs is holding out for either Alvarez or GEE... basically selling out for whoever will pay him the most to take a beating.
Yea I think most people agree on this. Or he will fight the winner of GGG v Jacobs. For example, of Jacobs wins, would he fight him for all the marbles?
It is really is a cash out move, when you are ducking good money fights, and paying step aside money to sit on the bench. Considering the two biggest names are tied up between now and May- why not fight your mandatory now? BJS however when motivated is an eite level MW. I question how motivated he is these days.
Getting ready for the tune up , for the tune up of , for the tune up of , for the tune of the GGG fight in 2027!!! Bring it on , im afraid of no man.
You may be right. Unless he was really motivated, another fight may cause more harm than good. I just hope we can see the Lee version of him fight GG though. I thought it was very strange that he turned down the opportunity to fight on Canelo's card last year. But I think it's now clear that he was so out of shape, he couldn't have made the weight.
He was in shape after the fight with Lee, but I think the injury set backs affected him mentally. He needs to get in gear now at 26/27. From what I've been told, his mandatories aren't bums.
I was really angry that he turned down the opportunity. But then a few months later, that photo of him training appeared. So I think all the talk of him saying: "I won't get any credit if I beat him..." was just a smokescreen. https://www.google.co.uk/imgres?img...tTSAhUIKMAKHdbtAJ8QMwhLKCQwJA&iact=mrc&uact=8 According to a recent interview with Frank W, an announcement on his future will be made within the next few weeks.
