This guy has been on a fantastic run. First man to truly beat Andre Dirrell, a hugely underrated win. Destroyed Periban who I believe had never been knocked down before. Beat the snot out of and stopped undefeated Gonzales in 4, Wards sparring partner who he'd been extremely complimentary about. Got robbed against Groves so he should be undefeated himself. Many rate GGG, Crawford and Kovalev top 10 if not top 5 p4p, but to me DeGale clearly has a better resume than all three. Just a massive lack of support and very little hype.
DeGale is an extremely rare talent, especially for a British fighter. I'd have him in my top 15, one more signature win and he'll be top 10.
Let's see.... 1. The Special One 2. The Jackal 3. Turbo Terry 4. The Barry Boy Assassin 5. Chunky MBE <----------------------There he is :hi: 5th :deal
DeGale is much better than those glass jaws frauds, with a superior chin. The man is destined for greatness.
He really doesn't have a better record than Kovalev or Golovkin, but Crawford is debatable. DeGale is probably the man at 168 now. If he was American he'd be on those PFP lists.
The first part of your post was absolutely horrendous posting, but you saved yourself from a thrashing live on ESB with the second part. :nod
Debatable I guess, but Dirrell is without question a better single win than on either of their resumes.
I've never met a Brit with power, skills AND the willingness to travel. The closest we got was Hamed, and the man folded like a lawn chair when he fought an elite opponent. There was the Canuck Lewis, but the man had an abysmal glass jaw.
Based on what? his loss to Carl Froch or his fraudulent DQ win over Abraham? Or is it really just based on Dirrell being American? because those two fights are the highlight of Dirrell's pro career and if those are the highlight...it begs the question of why we're supposed to give him all this praise.
Not top 10, he's got one win that stands out and that's Direll, but even though I rate Direll he hasn't done much as of recent to be honest with the "injury" + inactivity and what not so that win isn't even as good as it looks on paper IMO. Bute win would put him kinda into the contention but yet again, since his loss to Froch he's not been active and hasn't looked very good either with Grachev fight being quite competive from what I've heard, I've not seen the fight but that's poor considering the opponent and a loss to Pascal.
I've never met an American with those things. Even Sugar Ray Robinson folded like a lawn chair when he fought Randy Turpin in the UK
