This was idiotic when Adrian Broner said something similar, and it is idiotic now.

No, not really. Lots of fighters have heart. That isn't a place in history.

How ironic would it be if Wallin suffered a touch of 'Whyte shoulder' and was 'forced' to wait for it to heal just in time for the Hrgovic vacant title shot.

That would be so fitting. And imagine the fit AJ or Hearn would throw in a subsequent interview. I kinda need this to happen now :sisi1

Heart played a large part in securing the 13 times beaten Micky Ward and 9 times beaten Arto Gatti's places in history.

Yes, but they split a series of fights in the same vein as Ali-Frazier, Graziano-Zale, Leonard-Duran, Pep-Saddler, Greb-Tunney, Robinson-LaMotta, etc.

    Wilder didn't win any.

Being a gutty loser doesn't get you there.

There's a lot more to Wilder's career and title reign than just the Fury fights. I'll leave it at that

I don't think there is a better fight for both boxers than Wilder Vs. AJ. An opportunity for both of them to rebuild their careers. Just imagine what it would mean to the winner to beat the losers at this point in their careers. An opportunity to build confidence, legacy, and resume (more so in Wilder's case).
On the other hand, boxing fans would also want this, and the money (I don't like to mention this part, but it's true) in circulation would be large.
One would return "to the big door", and the other could retire. Better than both of them retiring without such a win.

Honestly, it's pretty worthless to Joshua's resume...

For starters Wilders resume wouldn't put him in Joshua's top 3 wins anyway, and at any rate it'd be taken as either confirmation that Wilder's a massively overhyped second rate fighters OR by Wilder/Fury fans as Wilder being shot (because prime Wilder would so obviously have won if he'd had the stones to take the fight, /s).

It'd be easily Wilder's best win, so it makes far more sense for Wilder than it would for Joshua IMHO.

Not that I'd mind seeing it, but I'm assuming it will never happen - Wilder has never wanted it.

I know Wilder is rich, but is he rich enough to turn down 5 million dollar paydays to fight lower ranked guys? That's still a lot of money.
