I'd prefer Cox tbh, granted Abraham is more proven but he is pretty old and we know he isn't that much better than Paul Smith and Martin Murray at this point in time.

Cox is more intriguing because people rave on about him and we are not 100% sure on his level, some think he's the best in the world LOL. I personally think King Arthur would knock Cox black and blue and he's a much harder fight, but beating Cox would shut quite a few mouths up!

I think Abraham's would be a good solid test for him. He's past it now but he's an intelligent fighter and it would be a hard earned win for Eubank Jn. I think it goes 12 rounds.
I do get the Cox thing, like you say we don't know his level and I think he needs to fight someone significant himself. If Eubank fought (and beat him) we still wouldn't know anymore about where Eubank Jn is at.

I said a couple of months back on another thread I would like to see Eubank fight a Paul Smith or Ricky Fielding at SMW and see how he gets on. Personally I think he might struggle against either. Even wouldn't mind seeing him fight David Brophy who had improved a lot since the Groves fight. One thing for sure Eubank fights Groves or DeGale he's losing and style and strength wise if he fights Callum Smith he's getting knocked out cold.

I really rate eubanks. As a boxer not really. But hes got that athletiscm that will make it interesting against anyone. If they do the weight better...i honestly fancy him to take smith moog. He,d need to improve a good bit...but i think he will. I dont rate smith as highly as some do. Think hes looking good against weak opposition. Their tailor made for him.

But there in danger of throwing his career away. Because hes not the best boxer in the world...they need to keep him fighting regularly. I think hes the type that can jump levels. As long as they keep him busy. People criticise him for saunders but at the end of the day bjs is a good proven fighter that was a well decorated amatuer came a bit too early for eubank but i think he beats him if they do fight again. I think hes a bannana skin for anyone tbh.

But they need to sort his career out.

These are the types of people I'd like him to smash Cox for

John Ryder was robbed blind against Fielding, he can't handle a pressure fighter
Smith has never beaten anyone ever, and has lost many times

Brophy probably beats both IMO and I'd prefer that one out of the 3

Yeah I don't doubt he's still training I just find him more of a gym fighter today tbh

Doesn't seem to want to get himself in any half decent fights

It's all sh*t talk in Tweets & Snrs deluded views & Snapchat vids that don't mean nothing unless you got a somewhat decent fight lined up

Talked the talk about wanting to fight GGG, he had the deal basically there waiting for him, bottled it

He pretends he doesn't know who Cox is, calls out Bellew, the geezer is like a parody of himself.

Imo he needs to stop posting vids of bags on Snapchat what don't hit back (& some of his sparring partners) & get something lined up & try & prove something cos atm he is fast becoming irrelevant who gives a fu*k who his old man is their sh*t talk isn't clever PR it's just divvy talk that turns people against them

Whether he looks big or not my mate I can't see him fighting anytime soon he's just a messer in my opinion haha

If he were to train like he runs his mouth, he would get much better.............

Has the type of style to give certain fighters fits. Anyone that doesn't like it inside or not at their own pace he's going to give trouble. BUT.... has sooo many questions over him. Not much of a puncher. Throws loads of punchers but can blow himself out. His chin has questions over it - stunned more than once.

They are obviously trying to cherry pick a way to a decent belt and make a name for him, but its getting really silly. Any fan base they are trying to build are just getting fed up with him. He's a bit like Haye he talks but doesn't always walk - at least Haye has gone in the ring with (Wlad, Chisora etc). Eubank's act is just boring now.

I'd sooner see him fight other domestic guys at 168 than some random from the IBO rankings. Jr-AA would be a cool fight and a genuinely decent win should he do so. Cox is mando to Fielding now I think, so those fights are gone for now.

Jr vs Abraham I like the sound of. Jr would be favourite, but how he deals with Abraham could tell us a lot. Abraham's defense will still be solid at 37 and one of the big question marks over Jr is his power. He was able to overwhelm Blackwell, Spike and Quinlan through sheer volume of punches. If he can do the same thing to Abraham it would be impressive.

Brophy is a decent sized SMW and Fielding is huge st the weight, be interesting how he got on with bigger stronger guys. Your right the way Fielding struggled against Ryder was poor, though I still think he won the fight. Paul Smith I believe should have been a career middleweight tbh but is a good fighter, would say Euro level. Everyone who's beat him in recent years is beyond that level and CEJ has not proved he's beyond that level at SMW.

I like JR and think he should be further along in his career. I would like to see the Abraham fight come off, failing that a big domestic fight with Cox is also another option though I don't rate Cox like some other posters.

Paul Smith's best win is probably Tony Dodson. Smith is and always has been domestic level.
