yep still remember the hype that was already building up for a fight between him and otto when both became champions.. :hat
Somewhere thinking how did he become one of the biggest letdowns of the 2000s...I swear, I thought Panchito was going to do big things...but I was wrong.
Panchito couln't handle the pressure of being labeled a "million dollar boxer" while still in his teens. But noone has answered the thread question Where is Francisco Bojado and what is he up to..............I hope he is not working in a warehouse somewhere in El Monte!
Next time i see some people that know him i got to ask, last time they said he hadnt officially retired but that he no longer trains at the gyms. What you know about EL Monte:huh
Those ex boxing stars never retire. I bet he'll do a Camacho Jr. sometime soon and cut down to a higher and flabbier weight than he was before and fight a few bums on some mediocre fight cards. It always goes down that way with these types.
He actually got thrown out of a training camp by Fernando Vargas for dogging it. That was before he signed with Golden Boy. Oscar said it was sink or swim and they threw him in with Steve Forbes. Shame, he would've been a HOF at 135 and 140. His only hope now is to hit rock bottom and find that motivation.
A Bojado incident that sticks in my mind took place in Los Angeles at "Boxeo de Oro" when the Grand Olympic Auditorium was not a Korean Church. "Panchito" was unfailingly gracious--and genuinely touched--under the onslaught of fans for handshakes, pictures with him -- a word or two -- or a signed program or a blouse front. Some nearly fell out of the stands just for a touch as he went by. He circulated around the arena, always in the center of bodies clawing at him; his posse trying to screen him, as best they could. Eventually, he stood right below me; he looked no more than 16. Like bees to honey, everybody descended on him, climbing over each other and the wall to get to him. When I asked the guys in front to sit down -- I couldn't see -- Bojado poked his head through the jam: "I'm terribly sorry for the interruption. I apologize," and he drew the mob away, like the Pied Piper. Pretty classy. He made a fan outta me.
Too bad he showed more balls on that bike than he did in the ring. He isn't too smart either. Doing that **** on a bike with no helmet is pretty stupid if you ask me. He'll be back in the ring once his money runs out since I doubt he is managing his money well.
Read over your posts before you send them Mr. Illiterate. Furthermore, don't say a word about Cali boxers until you know what the **** Cali is about. And who the **** is otto? I thought inbreds were only in the south. ****.:?
Riding a bike with a tire in that bad shape is even worse than not wearing a helmet. Unfortunately, based on his comments at the end of the video, I get the impression he is looking to check out of this world Chico-style. Hope he can get his head right before it's too late.
