That was a washed up Big Nog well past his best. In reality it was about as meaningful a pair of victories as Mir’s win over Crocop. Anybody who rates Mir over Big Nog dksamma.

Kharitonov in his prime had great submission defense and solid TDD, was able to beat Werdum and take Nog close. I say he shuts down Mirs wrestling/BJJ and forces him to strike, resulting in a KO win for Kharitonov.

I'm thinking more along the lines of his losses to Freeman and while recent Hunt. Don't think Mir would see the cards.

That version of Frank Mir was washed up as well. Both guys have looked old and done well before they fought.

All time I rate Big Nog over Mir.

Wrong...Lesnar was forced to stand up by the referee bc of so called illegal blows to the back of the head, which was Mirs turtling on the ground, nothing to do about knowing about pushing out of leg locks.!

Lesnar was about to smash him.The leg lock wasnt possible without the forced referree stand up by Mir. Waiting on Lesnar on your back is suicide...sorry ....no other way to put that. Failing to adapt when? that was his first UFC fight he smashed everyone after and literally showed striking vs couture a known decent striker at that time and toyed with Herring another known all around fighter.

Anything is speculation but actual match ups and the Lesnar rematch showed how bad Mir matched with him, which also showed bc he countered everything mir tried to do and spun out of an attempted ankle lock to continue the battering soon after. he was submitted the first time bc he stood directly over Mir like a fool due to inexperiance when mazzugati seperated them.

He was submitted the first time because he has a low pain threshold. It wasn't locked in.

Lesnar only had 5 more fights after that loss. Not exactly smashing everyone. He wasn't around long enough to say how good he would have been.

I wouldn't even have favoured him in a trilogy fight with Mir tbh.
