wrong, he doesn't give punishment either. Maidana and Pac looked like they came from a beach vacation after fighting Floyd.

when you watch a fight where neither fighter lands big punches and neither comes close to hurting each other, what are you watching? a dance show between two men?

And the guy people voted as the fighter of the decade couldn't handle that? I wonder if any of you geniuses who make comments like this know it just makes Manny look that much worse.

it's hard to beat someone who refuses to fight and has judges on his side. You have to chase him down for 12 rounds and if you don't CLEARLY win rounds, he wins them. So basically, you have to somehow land big shots on every round to win them. if you merely land 1 or 2 semi-hard punches or match him in punches landed, you lose round.

It's hard to look good against someone who is a repeat abuser of excuses. FACT! "if he stay there i throw many punches" :yep

Pac had evertything in his favor: he won the weigh in, he brought a $4M cheering section to sway the judges, he was trying to take triptonite before the fight, he had his personal ref Bayless ...

    Still, Floyd 118-110 :deal:deal

Exactly, with boxingx current climate of judging, vegas judges and refs, no way Floyd is gonna lose. 50 years ago he would have lost on decision. How can you win a FIGHT when you're the one trying to avoid a fight? This isn't a dancing lesson. Look at how ODLH lost to Tito for just a few rounds of running? Floyd did 12 rounds of that, not only run but headlock, hugged, elbowed..just outright ***** as ***** stuff.

Floyd is not a fighter or a boxer. He's simply a point scorer who found a way to exploit the judging system.

man...the level of intelligence is astounding. :patschMaybe he shouldn't score points in a sport where scoring points is key. Then surely he'll win...

It's like saying Maidana should stop slugging it out and landing debilitating blows to the opponent's head and stop getting in their face with his ceaseless pressure, he needs to become a counter puncher instead and move around more, oh no Maidana is a brawler who has found a way to exploit the judging system by disrupting most of his opponents plans.

Well then you make him fight! They got those things called game plans that, you know, the trainer of the year was suppose to be working on for the last 6 frickin' years!

    Has judges on his side?
Floyd didn't have the judges on his side of the Canelo fight. Pacquiao had the judges on his side for the JMM fights. Pointless argument.

Manny had many opportunities to let his hands go. He didn't. Only thing people bring up that he did was those little flurries in RD4 & RD6. 2 rounds is the only thing of significance people can remember of what Pac did during a 12RD fight. That's embarrassing for a "FOTD" awardee. Let it go. He lost to someone better. It is what it is. Life must go on.

    Exactly.

If he fought dumb and got embroiled in brawls, and then got brain damaged, he'd be considered exciting.
