Where is Froch's highlight reel in the fight against Dirrell?

In another thread, the following video was posted documenting Dirrell's "highlights" in the Froch fight. There's quite a few. There's one point in the tenth round where Dirrell nails Froch and Froch starts retreating, covering up, and Direll is literally measuring Froch up. There's a dozen other head-snapping blows, all very obvious and plain to the eye, of Dirrell punching Froch directly in the center of the face.

But the odd thing is, many people on this board think Froch "won".

But I watched that fight. And I watched it again. And the thing is: Froch didn't have too many highlights. He had two or three good punches, but Dirrell had perhaps 20 or 25.

So the question is: where are Froch's highlights? Are they hidden in plain sight? Am I blind? Did I miss them?

Where is Froch's highlight reel? Surely there are some Froch highlights? Or perhaps not. Perhaps he actually "won" by getting hit in the face, per some definition of "won" (British slang?)

Thats cos he did. Dirrell should hang up his gloves and pursue a career in acting or long distance running

I like how Froch's success enrages people.

no, no. I like Froch. I'm a fan. Honest to goodness.

He reminds me of former US president George Bush. Underestimate him at your peril!

But seriously, where are the highlights?

Yep. It always seems to be the way when pretty much the majority predict said boxer to lose, but then pulls off a good victory.

People revert back to old bouts and try to pick them apart.

very witty indeed, but I was asking for highlights. Do you know where they are?

Where are the Froch highlights against Dirrell?

Yes, I know, the body slam was impressive. Any others?

But the topic isn't whether Froch may or may not enrage certain persons on this board.

The topic is specifically about Froch's highlights in the Dirrell fight.

I cannot find them, though I search high and low.

You probably won't have any success in finding them. Dirrell produced the better work in my opinion, and just about did enough to win...but he was very negative.

From what I remember, Dirrell was constantly on the back foot (apart from a couple of seconds)...he would fall over, he would grab (dive in to smother Froch's work)...this had to have an impact on the scoring, Froch was the one trying to initiate the exchanges...and certain judges look and score that.

But yeah, you probably won't find any videos, not the greatest bout.

he didn't land enough clean punches to make a highlight reel.

I was very happy to see Froch beat AA and I have a lot of respect for him as a fighter but you guys are missing the point. This thread is about Froch V Dirrell. Don't avoid the op's question, just post Froch's highlight video when you locate it or better still, if you are of the opinion that Froch won, make your own video so we can see what he actually done to win the fight.

Ahh, but you and I don't have an argument, then. It was indeed negative.

He lost the war of ring generalship. But ring generalship doesn't get you a win if your major highlight is a body slam and the other guy hits you in the face 20 times and wobbles you in the 10th round.

You don't score a bout on the overall "gestalt". You score it round-by-round on effective punching, first and foremost. (I know that you know that, but I'm just saying it anyway).

thanks. You could even say "in round 9, Froch lands a grazing jab at 2:12" or something to that effect.

I know there is one point where Froch catches Dirrell and Dirrell is moving away and it gets a great hurrah from the crowd. That is the single most memorable moment for Froch in the fight, excluding the body slam.

A philosophical question: If a compelling Froch highlight reel could be made, would it have been made already?

Or is there lots of raw Froch highlight material out there that just needs some good editing and perhaps some music to put it to?

    Watch the entire fight.

But no doubt you are a black american so no amount of dirrells running will change your mind.

Every time dirrell thought froch might be in danger of landing a punch he ran or fell to the floor.

You cant go to a champions back yard and run away and fall over and land the occasional pot shot and take the belt.

It's true that Dirrell did the more eye-catching work but he didn't do enough of it and was very negative. Froch wasn't particularly effective but he took a lot of rounds just because Dirrell wasn't aggressive enough. I had Dirrell winning 114-113 but he could have won much more clearly if he'd shown more attacking intent.
