Not allowing your opponent to impose his style is ring generalship. So why couldn't Froch negate these tactics? Why did he allow Dirrell to fight this kind of fight?

The general feeling is that Dirrell lost rather than Froch won:good

How shall I say this politely. I don't care what the "general feeling" is. I couldn't imagine anything less reliable than a "general feeling".

I want objective evidence that Froch had more than one telling blow in this fight.

Tell me a round and a time like: "In the fifth round at 1:32, Froch lands a mean uppercut!"

People will just say the official result because it suits their argument without realizing that they just justified every robbery to have ever happened. This is why I never mention the actual result when debating and questionable decision or make a reference to those phony ass punchstats. Just shows how freely hypocracy runs. The same people who bring up the boxrec or punchstats will find themselves questioning both at some time in the future discussing another fight (robbery) garenteed 100%. The only thing that matters is who these guys were rooting for.

That is why all the boxrec and punchstat points are weak and usually used when one cannot beat the opposing argument (how convienient and transparent),

Yeah how people scored the fight for Froch I don't know. Dirrell was very unlucky to lose that point aswell. Froch couldn't land anything and was fighting dirty out of frustration.

But...but...but...Dirrell ran! Dirrell kept holding! Therefore Froch is the winner by default. Who cares about actual scoring criteria like landing clean, effective punches.

I guess Carl Froch has arrived.

The negative threads about him have skyrocketed since Saturday night.

    Shouldn't that be misunderestimate?

You're right, though. There are no Froch highlights in this fight. I can't believe he got the nod - terrible judging. He out-boxed and out-punched Froch comprehensively, nevermind what else he did - people who focus on that are just rationalising.

And this isn't a hate thread, it's a simple question. One that no-one seems to be able to answer. And I am a Froch fan.
