Does anyone on here know where Harold Smith is these days? Know how to get in contact? Last I heard he was living in Dubai. Last person I know who was in touch with him is Tony Tubbs and Tony no longer knows. Would be grateful for any info anyone may have!
Bump. I don't know much of him apart from his sentencing in the 80s, but hopefully someone else here does.
After he was released from prison he tried to get back into the sport, worked with Tony Tubbs for sure and, if I'm. not mistaken, Roy Jones Jr. Would REALLY like to find him.
I think he promoted a decent bit of guys before and after his conviction. Hearns, Cuevas, Pryor, Cervantes, Saad Muhammad and Mustafa Muhammad- And Tubbs, Jones, Holmes, and Hearns again after such. I figure that you could ask any of those guys that are still around about it, but I can't necessarily help there.
Just looked around some more and Gerry Cooney also claimed that Smith was in Dubai back in 2022, so maybe he knows a bit.
Thanks, I've talked to the guys I know, but will try to reach out to others. So far it seems like he just vanished. And unfortunately a name as common as Smith makes it even tougher.
I don't know if Gerry is on here or if anybody has contact with him, but I think that if you look around, you should be able to find some way to talk to him. I know he has multiple social media accounts.
