Good point, he does seem to have dropped off the radar a bit. Hes been in a fair few wars over the years, coupled with ring rust i just hope in his next fight he doesn't get murdered, great fighter.

Training for a comeback. He had to sit out for over a year because of injuries from the third Marquez fight, including a detached retina. He plans on having a comeback fight later this year, and he and Marquez have been talking about making a fourth fight (at 126) late this year or early next.

He's been in a lot of wars. I wish he'd retire, but these little guys have to fight a long time in order to make any money. Boxing is brutal at the lower classes.

Izzy has one of the biggest hearts in boxing, if not the biggest. Definitely wanna see more of this guy but I don't know about fighting Rafa again so soon. Maybe they should both test the waters at 126 before they decide to go at it.

That really sucks. These guys deserve to be in a position to be able to choose whether they continue fighting, not just fight for financial reasons. They've provided some of the most entertaining (and brutal) fights I've seen.

He had the eye problem, it suck because he was right there in the top 5 pound4pound after his last win over Marquez. But its hard to keep rating him, when he hasn't fought in over 17 months. I'll put him back in my top 10 pound4pound as soon as he fights again.

Yeah I remember reading the payouts Morales and Barrera were getting (who were more popular than rafa and israel) and while it wasnt peanuts it certainly wasnt proportional to their popularity and entertainment value.

Its a shame the top lower weight guys make the same as some of the mediocre heavyweights.

Vazquez and Marquez will keep going at each other till one of them is dead. Still it'll be another entertaining fight!
