He was supposed to fight on the Judah/Mosley card but the whole thing was canceled. Now, he's supposed to be fighting Jermain Taylor at the end of the year. I think they're looking for a tune-up for late July or early August.

he was fighting a non entinty as stated on the mosley bill, which was then pulled when the main event was cancelled.

    not heard anything since.

i dont why they just did not reschudlie the keep busy fight on a small hall show to keep lacy`s arms ticking over.

    here's an update...

Golden Boy matchmaker Eric Gomez told ESPN that he's made a fight between ex-super middleweight titlist Jeff Lacy (23-1, 17 KOs) and Colombian puncher Epifanio Mendoza (28-5-1, 24 KOs), who was stopped in the fourth round of his last fight challenging light heavyweight beltholder Chad Dawson last fall. The fight is tentatively scheduled for July 23 on "Wednesday Night Fights" (ESPN2), but could move because of logistical issues. If Lacy wins, he may face former undisputed middleweight champion Jermain Taylor in the fall on HBO in a battle of 2000 U.S. Olympic teammates.

Interesting. Lacy's chin will get tested in this fight. If he has anything left, though, he should win by KO and gain confidence.

If he loses, he should retire.

His next fight is a very good one and a very good test, if he loses he should retire for sure. Hoping he does good.

I'm definitely rooting for him. If he wins convincingly, Taylor/Lacy would be a big fight on HBO this fall. A great opportunity for both fighters, although I'd favor Taylor unless Lacy has dialed back the clock.

I was thinking about putting the same thread up. Why is Jeff so inactive when there are a number of fights out there for him. He is wasting his prime years.

I'll favor Taylor without any doubts, just hoping Lacy doesn't struggle bad in his next fight, like you said he needs a good win to be able to set a fight with Taylor up.

Lacy should target Bute but I am not sure if he could win that one but he has a big chance of getting a TKO.

Yup, a Lacy-Taylor match is a great opportunity for both guys.

Last time I saw Lacy in the ring he was doing a great version of the chicken dance. He needs to get back in ring and wear some of that rust off. He was once a very dangerous fighter. I had him stopping JC like most people from the states did

Jeff Lacy Vs Allan Greem would be the fight of the inactive future stars of the SWM Division.
