This guy is a combination of Winky Wright and Vernon Forrest. He could have easily beaten Paul Williams and could be in line for something huge.
Man if I were a promoter I would snatch this guy up get him a good fight and call out Sergio Martinez. He could easily become the Middleweight Champ with 2 smart fights.

I never liked Cintron, but when he was on his way to a knockout victory over the fraud Williams, well, he was cheated by Goosen. Williams will never give him a rematch, of course. Williams' judges will always be on his side. Williams lost to Martinez, he lost to Margarito, Quintana and to Cintron, Goosen has so much pull in his home turf. Why did Williams claim he will never fight at that weight again?! Cintron was to strong for Williams, that's why!

it's a dirty game but you have to be the lowest form of a scumbag to fix a fight and rob a kid who's life is riding on the line by the outcome. With all the money involved they have to get an outside scoring organization who has trained judges who are reviewed. If anything if they don't get rid of all the organizations they need to make that happen.

I know this one may seem ridiculous but I have seen some flashes of greatness from him and he really is a solid boxer with great chin and a nice combination of speed and power. He can fight a little going backwards.
Maybe if his head is together he can surprise people but doesn't seem like smooth sailing over there.

To me he's primarily a power puncher with moderate skill. Winky Wright is one of the best technically defensive fighters in his weight range of the last decade; Vernon Forrest is one of the technically best offensive fighters in his weight range of the last decade. Cintron has maybe above average boxing skills to complement his power (which is close to the top of his weight range currently) but compared to the likes of Wright and Forrest he is ham n eggs.

If he didn't have that punch we probably wouldn't even know who he is.

Nah, Leon. He actually should have won the Williams fight. He won every round or 3 of 4 at worst. The one judge who was not paid had the right score 40-36 Cintron. The other judge had it 40-36 Williams. Now Williams connect percentage was 13%. I am a P. Williams fan but there is no possible way you can score it 40-36 Williams unless you knew before hand you had to score the fight for Williams.

check out the Martinez fight if you havent already. Hes another one of those fighters who always fight in cruise-mode. Even when the situation calls for him to go all out or do something else, he just cant switch to another gear.

The Williams fight is just a mirage of what you saw, the signs of him collapsing were present just seconds before he jumped out of the ring.

I, and the video, shows Martinez knocking Williams' head back over and over and over again. Hell, the video does not lie!
