I've watched Moorer-Holyfield I again yesterday, and although I think Holyfield deserved the nod in that close fight, Moorer showed good skills and fought very well. He's arguably the #5 top heavyweight of the 90s in my opinion. Is he still active? After knocking out Jirov in 2004 he beat a bunch of journeymen all over the world, the last one in february, yes he's old but he's on a winning streak and if he's got something left it might just be enough to become a fringe contender in this weak division. Moorer-Golota anyone?
If I remember correctly he has retired and become a trainer. He's currently working with heavyweight Joey Abell.
Its Micheals own fault though. He retired from the sport for some time when Holy beat him back in 97 and then continued to flirt with boxing since around 2001. Why he still fights i dont know. I thought we`d see the last of him and his bad chin when Tua put him through the ropes. I believe he fought earlier this year though..
