He would've finished off the Mosely he fought. Not a 35 year old Shane!

Pac is getting older & all the wars are catching up to him, such a pity Floyd jr wouldn't let this chance go to waste. I wouldn't be surprise if Floyd jr would fight him now, after Floyd jr's behind assault jail time without the OSDT...

We have to keep in mind that some of his opponents are bitching up in his last couple of fights besides JMM.......Clottey just stood there and covered up with no intent to throw a good amount of punches back,Mosley ran for dear life, he showed his power against Margarito by breaking his orbital bone and ultimately retiring the man but Pac chose not to finish him and Bradley was a cagey fighter and to add to that, Pacquiao didn't seem that interested in going for the kayo.

But I'm still impressed by the punching power he has displayed in all his fights despite not getting a stoppage since the Cotto fight.

Power is the last thing to go. It is not decline, but a lack of skill that keeps him from finishing.

I agree with many of the points here and def feel that it's just a combination of things.

He's a smaller guy at a much higher weight class.

He's older and much more exposed now. Fighters know a lot of what he'll do because they've seen it many times. When you fight so many times against such a variety of opponents it gives the next opposition a lot of material to work on in an attempt to replicate the successes of other fighters against Manny.

The opposition as has been pointed out IS extremely durable.

Manny stings at around 144-147 but at 130 downward he bangs and I personally still feel he would.

A lot of people keep commenting that "Power is the last thing to go" however I don't subscribe to this, especially in the lower weights where power is usually built from a combination of speed/accuracy as well. When your speed and endurance start to diminish you best believe that some power is coming with that.

Doesn't fight with the same fire he use to IMO. He usually beats down opponents but seems more content on just 'winning' rather than knocking opponents out now.

Diaz, DLH, Hatton, Cotto and probably Margo all had the mentality the PAC is a midget and thinking that PAC is too small that they can bully the guy. Which is not the case when he fought Mosley, Marquez and Bradley (they pretty much aware that PAC does hit hard at this weight). Remember what naseem richardson said in Mosley's camp, when someone says that PAC is small/midget he will automatically remove him from the team.

I think a little of (A) and a little of (D). No options for a combination though.

SPEED is power. And speed isn't the last thing to go. Pac is not as fast as he used to be due to the weight and the age. Not to say he isn't still faster than most 147 fighters.

here's the truth: when people thought he was the small guy, they came towards him into his power and thought, I'm gonna beat this guy up, I'm too big for him.

Then they realize UHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHHG wrong strategy I'm messed up.

If you don't think you are the bigger guy and back pedal and box intelligently, it stymies a whole lot of his offensie efficacy. I think the mindset of his opponents has changed ... and he's gotten older and his stamina is gone for the most part. He punches hard, but not in the same volumes, because he gets more tired chasing guys all over the ring. come to him to beat him up and you'll still get messed up.

Where is Pacquiao's power right now?

I would imagine it is in a needle waiting to be dispersed.

Exactly!Manny still has power but is a one dimensional fighter. If he try to walk him down and trade with him your ****ed.If you jab,use lateral movement and keep your hands up,you can make it very difficult for Manny to get his punches off.The Hatton fight got a lot of people thinking Manny had power like Tyson or Foreman.
