If he was american he would be heralded as the next p4p king and already in the top 10, as hes not american I assume the dixies wont have him in the top 30.
The guy is a very good prospect, but he hasn't beat anyone world class or even taken on a titleholder. I wouldn't rate him in the top 30 myself atm, but give it a year or two.
Top 50. Anything into the 30s just seems a bit to hasty for someone that hasnt really fought anyone. That being he'd KO floyd and manny in the same night if he wanted to.
I am British, and think Kel is a serious POTENTIAL prospect. But its just too hard to tell yet. What I will say is that he looks amazing, calm and efficient, but we have not seen him take one on the chin by a decent puncher, we have not seen him fight a contstant pressure fighter, and we have not seen him dragged into a war. It could be because he's that good that he makes light work of all styles, but you can't rate him too highly at this stage. He needs more testing but right now he's looking great.
Nowhere. He hasn't fought anyone. Look at the p4p top ten, look at their records... Brook has some skills, but he has to prove them at world level over a long time to even have a p4p thread with his name in it.
Brook needs to take on someone like Mike Jones before being considered as a serious contender. P4P may not be out of the question but it's just to early. Great prospect yes, P4P in england maybe.
he is athletic, buit he won vs nobodys. I wanna see him vs named fighters. O has to go match with mike jones. margarito is an option. ortiz-berto winner. enough oppurtunitys, if he wins one of those than the he'll get in my list.
Beating 'Magic' Matthew Hatton does not qualify breaking into the P4P rankings. Brook is talented, but he needs better opposition first. The welterweight+lww divison is stacked at the moment so hes got no excuse. Maidana, Khan, Ortiz, Berto, Bradley, Alexander plus more. On a side note, Hatton straight up sucks. Watching the fight last night, you wouldnt think this guy has had 50+ fights
He has the talent but he needs to fight a top rated Welter before you can even begin to define him as a pound-for-pound talent. At the moment it would be like ranking Brandon Rios P4P after he beat Anthony Peterson.
He just cemented his spot at No 1 with me. I'm surprised Floyd wasn't there to call him out last night tbh.
