Young Ibragomiv was an exciting fighter. Watch his destruction of Goofy Whittaker.

Alas, he went out in such ***** fashion against Waldo that he won't get back on a US network, and he HAD based himself in the US and had no Euro fan base. I guess at his age he doesn't see it as worth it to work his way up again.

Jeff Mayweather ruined Ibragimov by changing his style of fighting.

I do remember reading even before the Klitschko fight that Sultan said his parents wanted him to retire from Boxing.

If he is retired good luck to him.

Hopefully he is retired, even the mere sight of him just makes me think of that awful, awful fight between him and Vladimar Klitschko, oh why oh why did i stay up for that.

Sure is strange that he'd retire at only 33, and only one loss. I'd like to see him return and fight Chagaev, as I think Sultan may well beat him.

The last update that I can recall is that in Sept. of '08 Ibragimov dropped Jeff Mayweather as his trainer and said that we will learn very soon who his next trainer will be. He was also having problems with his manager and said that they were going to meet and work it out.

    So, who knows?

Whatever, man...Iggy showed in numerous fights that he could take a good shot and keep fighting. Haye wouldn't last 3 rounds with Sultan. The reason why he didn't get inside of Briggs and klitschko was due to the problems he faced trying to get inside of 6'6" Ray Austin. He adopted a more sensible figth plan for a large fighter.

David haye is Sultan's height. Sultan would come right at him and whoop his ass!!

Dude...it wasn't any worse than the two fights with Lennox and Holyfield. It just seemed more disappointing because these two guys are proven punchers.

C'mon...we have all seen much worse fights.

The boringness of this fight has become the most over exaggerated points of argument in recent history.

Yeah we've seen worst but Lewis and Holy were not ''booed'' all twelve rounds. So i think that makes Iggy vs Waldo a notch lower in term of crowd pleasing fight.
