Just because Cloud is rated #1 by the IBF doesn't mean he's the mandatory for Dawson's belt. Once Woods and Cloud fight it will be for a shot at Dawson's title and the IBF will enforce Dawson to fight the winner.

he has no more then a punchers chance against Chad, he would get outboxed for 12 straight....at best he'd take 3 rounds, or maybe even wobble Dawson for a moment

They are not scheduled to fight yet, but my point is Cloud is not Dawson's mandatory. Hence the fight between Woods and Murqui was for the IBF eliminator. There has been talks of Cloud waiting for the winner of the Woods vs Murqui because they knew it was for the IBF title eliminator.

Once they fight and if either Cloud or Woods win then they become the mandatory for Dawson's title. Similar to when Miranda fought Kelly Pavlik for the Taylor's WBC title.

Man, you know how Lennox explained what a punchers chance is, thats exactly what he has.

The only thing Cloud can do is hurt Chad or KD him if he gets real lucky. Thats the only way he wins a round, unless Dawson "takes a round off to show his defense." Cloud is far from being good technically.

    :-(

These are the sorts of statements that can come back to haunt you. Glen Johnson did nothing but plow forward throwing shots and he buzzed Dawson real good. He did nothing out of the ordinary technically, and no devastating speed.

And now Cloud has barely any chances?

I men, this $hit is gonna be Pavlik vs Hopkins all over again. Tarver has a better shot at beating Chad than Cloud does.

Thats the thing though, Chad has learned from that experience, and Cloud is no Johnson, not as good & styles are completely different.

Johnson comes right at you, he wants to slug it out. Very effective against boxers and counter-punchers (Dawson and Harding).

Cloud is more of a boxer/puncher it would allow Dawson to box and move. When Dawson fought Johnson he had little room to box.

You're also forgetting that Dawson has improved since the Johnson fight.

How do you know that? Who has he faced since then that would give us an indication he's improved his defence and ability under pressure? He's fought Antonio Tarver, and no disrespect to him, but he did not do anything.

Cloud is ambitious, at the bottom of the food chain, he will at least die trying and that makes him more dangerous.

ok then, lemme ask you this.........does he have a better chance then Adamek?

if a punchers chance wasn't good enough for Adamek, it damn sure aint good enough for Cloud

I saw improvement in Dawson's footwork and defense, basically toying with Tarver. If that was Johnson fighting Dawson in that match (October 11) Dawson would of won convincingly.
