No where in my last post did I even use the word "learn" so try a little harder if you wanna try to catch me contradicting myself(yeah, I caught you). But anyways, yes Cloud is ambitious & at the bottom of the food chain, but how can you say he will die trying & give him that "warrior Arturo Gatti" type of heart/mindset? Have you ever seen him have to dig deep down inside & fight hard? Have a tough fight? Fight a tough opponent? How many times has he been past 6 rounds? My point exactly, no one knows what kinda heart he has, he could be a Kelly Pavlik or he could be a *Kermit Cintron for all we know. ****** ass *****!
Adamek put him down, too. It only takes things to work out a little differently on the night. Cloud might throw a different type of punch to Adamek that surprises him. When you have somebody showing very good power, and another guy that is not completely elusive and has been hurt...it is a very foolish game to be claiming he has very little chances. I make Dawson a clear favourite on boxing ability and experience at the top level, but there are occasions where that can go out the window. We saw that in Pavlik-Taylor I.
The good news is Dawson is free to fight whoever he wants after Tarver. It could be Hopkins, move down to 168, fight Diaconu, or Glen Johnson again. Woods will fight Cloud for a final title eliminator and the winner fights Dawson in late fall or early winter. That's my prediction.
Maybe you are right, but there is no way to know that. Tarver did not put on any pressure that would test Dawson's weak areas. He stood there. He looked like a guy that had made too many movies and forgot about boxing. When you stand off a quicker, younger man with better boxing ability you are not going to win. Tarver had to really bite the gumshield and move forward to have any chance. He did not bring it to the table.
well i'll just end it hear.....for whatever reason you got it in your head that Dawson is a KO waiting to happen, and Cloud is the one to do it and i pretty much know for a fact that he has no better chance of beating Dawson then Adamek did......so this aint gonna go nowhere
I don't think he's a KO waiting to happen. You misinterpret. Infact, I clearly said Dawson is a big favourite for obvious reasons. The difference is I do not write off Cloud's chances as virtually nothing. I'm glad you know about the facts. No point in fights ever happening if you can tell me about facts. No big deal, we can move on.
