both men in their prime and both in their best shape. Both two of the best fighters on the planet today.
I'M HYPED FOR THIS FIGHT! HOME BOY FROM DESOTO SPENCE WILL SHOCK THE WORLD SATURDAY NIGHT!". There it is.
There is hype. They just did a 2 part show on Showtime that did good numbers and brought attention to the fight. They don't have big fanbases because neither were promoted heavily during their earlier years but for a Welterweight fight it is very significant, is for the undisputed AND Pound 4 Pound crown too. I hope they both make a lot of money. On the other hand, if you wanna see poor promotion, look how Matchroom and Top Rank have "promoted" Bivol and Beterbiev since their signature wins over Canelo and Joe Smith last year ......utterly shambolic.
Hard to say, they barely fight. But you are being dishonest if you think it’s not better 4 years ago.
I think there is a racial element, unfortunately. Boxing has become more racist in the past few decades.
They waited too long to make the fight and neither guy fights that often. The boxing community and its fans are certainly abuzz but these two never quite broke into the causal realm. So what, it is still a huge fight.
It's also going up against a big ufc ppv Dustin v justin is s bigger fight among casuals than this boxing fight and the ufc have a big co main It will outsell bud v spence
Hardly anyone knows these guys. Needs to be a hardcore boxing fan. Both of them can walk the streets and no one recognizes them.
People have been talking about this fight for years, I think the general public still feels like it isn't real until they see them in the ring, Spence left a sour taste on a lot of peoples mouth's when he pulled out of that Pac fight like a day before the fight was supposed to happen and they haven't exactly been promoting themselves, they seem like bestfriends more than anything. Once fight time come trust me, it'll be hyped. This is for the UNDISPUTED Welterweight championship, the deepest division in boxing historically and today. Hopefully the winner fights their mandatory Jaron Ennis next.
