    Number 15 for me.

I have holyfield, tyson, frazier, jeffries, sullivan in positions 10-14 and I think wlad is only a win or two from overtaking them all.

5-9 I have holmes, foreman, lewis, dempsey, liston.

Wlad is maybe 2 more years of dominance from overtaking these guys.

3-4 I have rocky and johnson. Wlad is realistically about 3 years from overtaking these, that would be nearly ten years as the best heavyweight in the world.

1-2 I have louis and ali. Wlad would have to remain undefeated until about 2018 to overtake these 2.

He's now at #14 for me. He decisively beat David Haye, which has been one of his greatest wins in a while.

Depends what your ranking it on, in terms of longevity he ranks very highly. Foreman, Frazier, Liston all were champs for a very short period of time. Resume wise he doesn't have the names but he does have the depth against different style. Dempsey has a terrible resume. Jeffries never beat a 200lber and fought in a pre-historic semi-pro version of the sport avoiding his best contender, only to come back and get completely dominated by him. Marciano has a good resume, but it's against older men, small men and it doesn't have as many ranked opponents as Wlad's does, he didn't really fight at the top for that long either. Holmes opponents - were they really any better?

Yes Wlad makes a top10 list for me

I think once you're set on your criteria and you're consistent life is much better as a boxing fan because you can appreciate great boxers in their time.

Make no mistake, wlad is a great boxer.

I can't have him top ten, you would be looking at a situation where everybody else in my top ten would probably knock him out in the first five rounds.

15-20. After thinking about it, but he is very vulnerable to non great fighters with certain styles.

But the fights with the guys in the top ten have not and will not ever happen so it can't be held against wlad that in your opinion he'd might get knocked out by them.

This vulnerability hasn't been shown since he got with steward. He's dominated everyone he's fought since 04. His two toughest fights were against brewster and peter and he dominated them in rematches.

He's a solid top 15 definitely... but not top 10. This was supposed to be his defining fight according to most people, and well, if that's a defining fight in this day and age then I honestly don't know what to say. But I guess that's more Haye's fault than Wlad's.

it took twenty years after holmes lost the title for people to start appreciating him. expect a similar story with wlad.

Witherspoon & Norton were better in H2H terms than any of Wlad's scalps, but after that it gets hazy.

I'd probably give you those 2, although I think Haye might well spark Norton

I'm not really sure holmes reign can be considered much better but he was far more active so built up a deeper resume imo.

I think beating chag and haye definitely makes up for wlad not facing ruiz nor valuev. I think his brother's status as champ emeritus makes his refusal to challenge the wbc belt very understandable, plus he'd already beaten peter and would go onto beat rahman.

He has vitali missing but holmes has more opposition missing from his resume imo.

Were it not for activity and the fact that holmes is very good h2h i'd put wlad above him.

I think wlad will knock up 5 more years and go down in the top 5.

Possibly, if he was confident & had 10 functional toes , but Norton is a better at countering than Haye, & they both focus a lot on counters.
