He dominated, no doubt. But he should have knocked Chagaev the hell out. Boxing needs a heavyweight champ that knocks people the hell out.
I just dont see the point of toying with someone who obviously doesn't want to throw punches for 9 rounds, im not hating on Klitschko because as a boxing spectacle he was faultless, theres just no killer instinct there. 60,000 fans most of them casual turned up to see a lop-sided fight right there. Im more dissapointed with Chagaev than anything.
His technical skills are there for all to see.His sense of distance ,timing and shot accuracy is exceptional but hes so damn safety conscious to the point that he dosmt bring any variety into his work like a hook or uppercut. Its works for him,but with the talent and tools he posesses he could be alot more.
This fight happend as exactly as I predicted it, 9th or 10th round TKO. Overall boring fight, and I figured it would be a little better than the Iggy/Wlad fight. Chagaev was defintely not at his best, and I wish this fight would of happend 2 years ago.
**** he unloaded about 4 or 5 right hands in a row that landed flush but Chagaev too them. You can't criticize Wlad because he was fighting a guy with a good Chin.
Chagaev beat some guy called Drummond in a decison last time out, that says it all. Like i said, if you cant look good against Matt Skelton how the hell can you say this is the best contender out there. For the Ring to call this a title fight since Wlads got a pass on fighting the highest ranked contender is ridiculous. Wlad and Vitali protect each others careers which must be a first in boxing. To have someone avaenge your losses for you and dispose of anyone that might be tough for you! Thats why the Klits get little respect.
What for beautiful foot work Wald had tonight....total domination of the "thrid" best boxer in Heavy. Odd, but didn't you see he used all four jabs...hooked tonight some, and again....a man who never been on his ass, ended on it. A man who was known to be able to get in...could not...Wlad was too fast, in and out, and made Chag go the wrong way. The complete domination of a good boxer....actaully that happens very often....that jab is a *****, and that right is a *******... Killer instinct....it was there a bit cleaner in the last round and it would have been over...why rush when it's over the next.... He learned, don't stand still for left handers...I by the way was there for Sanders. He is not the same man, once he learned that one punch can turn a fight completely around....he became a boxer who can fight, and not a fighting boxer he was at start. Often it takes him 8-0 rounds to beat a man saftly soft.... Had he been going for it and got KO'ed you'd still hate him, only then he'd be a bum....
