Where p4p does Froch rank if he manages to stop Kessler?

Me personally I think with how iron chinned these two are it won't happen anyway, but if Froch does do the unthinkable and stop the Great Dane, where does it put him in the P4P picture?

I know a lot of people on ESB would call this fanboyism but I'd only have Mayweather, Martinez & Marquez above him. Wards win against a corpse at 168 and tons of inactivity doesn't warrant being above Froch should the Notts man stop Kessler imo. I wouldn't have pacquiao ahead of him either based on recent form.

    Thoughts?

It depends on the level of performance of each fighter on the night and on whether Froch was winning on the cards before the stoppage or not.

The performance matters obviously but a Froch stoppage win (a legit one) then where?

As far as skills in boxing goes Froch could bang up Kessler all he wants there's going to be 10 guys more talented and skillful then he is.

Froch is one of these guys that even if he beat Ward wouldn't get that much recognition P4P wise.

Well, supposing Kessler performs as well as he did in their first fight (B to B+), but Froch performs a little bit better and manages to stop Kessler on a cut (B+) having won most rounds, I'd have Froch in my Top 10-12 somewhere. If Kessler performs at B to B+ and Froch outboxes him in almost all rounds and stops him impressively (A-), I'd have Froch in my Top 10 somewhere. :good

Well, Kessler is no where near the p4p top 10 or 20 though. I personally have Froch at around number 10. If he KO's Kessler, then I would have him at number 9. The p4p top 10 right now is so weak though. The only sure top 5 are Mayweather, Marquez, Ward, Wladimir, and maybe Martinez if he rebounds from this embarrassing win last night. After that, it's very open. You can have Rigo, Pacquaio, Donaire, and Mares in the mix. I'd move him above Mares, and that's about it. Despite Pac getting KO'd his last fight, you can't drop him THAT low where he's below someone like Froch.

Whoever wins that fight should be in the top 10 ahead of Broner. I'd put the Winner around 8.

No way could I rank him above ward for beating Kessler, even if he stops Kessler. I think top 7-8 would be about right, maybe a little higher. I rate pretty highly on skillset as well as results though, purely results based he could easily be higher
