Jacobs fought 5 times in 2009, but I haven't heard a peep out of him since last August. Anyone have any news?
hand injury set him back after the Ishe Smith fight, hasn't fought since, should probably be on one of the coming GBP cards, perhaps on the Mayweather-Mosley
Craig McEwan is calling for a fight with Jacobs. I like that idea. Prospect vs Prospect fights are quite often very good fights.
A fight with Manfredo would be a good step up for Jacobs. I thought he looked solid against Smith but I'm still not sold on Jacobs being a star. Good fighter yes, but anything more I'm not so sure.
I finally took the time to put Jacory Harris on my ignore list. I've been meaning to get around to that since about a week after he showed up. That ****ing guy gives ******s a bad name!
There is a HOT Canadian Prospect (so they tell me) that I would like to see Jacobs fight...David Lemeiux.
It will be an icredible fight but i don't think we will see this before 2011 Lemieux trainers and promoters have been clear that they will take time with him! For 2010 they want him to clear the Canadian boxing scene. 6th February he go for the Canadian title against Naugler and i wouldn't be surprise to see him against Schmichet who gave Duddy a hard time (he got stolen IMO) Before the end of the year. GYM will be careful with Lemieux for 1-2 more years! so i think that Jacobs his a little bit to much for them at this point.
Has done little to earn a fight with Danny Jacobs. Perhaps when Lemeiux steps it up a bit, he can start fighting some of Jacobs scraps.
Unfortunately you never seem to get two unbeaten prospects fighting each other these days, when a defeat is still viewed as being disasterous to a young fighter. I'd love to see this fight though. Not only is it a good match-up but I think it would be a good learning experience for both guys. Isn't that what young fighters should be doing - taking fights where they will be pushed and learn something new?
