The Super Six, when announcing the match ups must have known at this stage what the potential match ups would have been, so why not sort out the where's and when's prior to the tournament beginning?

Why not hold all the round one fights on one night in the same venue etc so that we wouldn't be subject to less than mediocre undercards and instead have a mega night of boxing, with the home fighter holding the main event. Each fighter would get their turn through the group stage to hold a fight in their country.

If a fighter had to pull out due to injury then fair enough, but prove it or face heavy financial implications. And if a replacement were needed, then they should already have a wild card signed up, ready and waiting.

There's probably more but I'm just seething with how disorganised the whole thing seems to have been

It went wrong when Ward and Dirrell were invited in it. Dishonorable pussies...

With only 3 rounds how could all 6 box at home.

Each fighter could have had 1 home, 1 away & 1 neutral like AA & Froch have.

If they made it a 8 men Knockout tournament:
1 Bute #1/#2 suppermiddleweight by all boxing sites and experts could've been in
2 Kessler (defeted by Ward), Taylor (d. by Abraham) , Dirrell (d. by Froch ) would have been out ... no more Back injury delay from Dirrell ,no more venue dispute delay , no more substitute fighters.
    3 Semifinals would've followed 1st stage.

Having Dirrell and ward in it. They were too young wanting to protect their records so ****ed up the tournament by cheating and dropping out.

not to be anti-american, but they are the ones who ruined it, Ward wont leave his back-garden and Dirrell is being a *****, I said all along these two wouldnt fight.

its been a great success so far. we have all seen

    dirrell v froch
    dirrell v AA
    kessler v Ward
    Green v Ward
    Froch v Kessler
    AA v Taylor

what a great set of matchups we have seen in the past year or so.

we are also likely to see froch v AA and green v johnson which is a good crossroads fight.

it is a perfect opportunity to throw andrade in now, so ward will have a common measuring stck allowing better comparisons to bute.

how anyone can say the s6 has failed is ridiculous.

it would make too much sense.

in a way tho this is good cos it completely opens up the playing field. we now have 3 fighters with zero points, and one fghter with 2 points. you could throw bute in there, or anone and they have a real chance of progression.

With 5 fighters left i think a good compromise could be

The winner of Green vs Johnson fighting away to the winner of Abraham vs Froch in the semi
    AND
The loser of Abraham vs Froch fighting away to Ward in the other semi.

    Final Neutral venue

so basically Ward can go the entire tournament without leaving his home country, very fair
