During the period when Oscar dela Hoya ruled the boxing world, Floyd was pegged to be the best boxer that our generation has seen and he had the potential to become the unanimous box-office king of the sport. Mayweather and De La Hoya fought in the Middleweight division and Floyd got away with a close split decision victory.

The treatment Floyd Mayweather Jr. is getting from the media is not biased or anti-Mayweather at all. He wanted to be labeled as the undisputed cash cow of boxing, a filthy rich boxer, and the boxer who can get any demand and request because he is the king. He wants to be portrayed as the only reason boxing exists; he wants to be known as the greatest boxer that ever lived. He has all the potential to be the greatest American boxer, the real cash cow; he can demand anything, because just like he and his family said, all roads lead to Floyd Mayweather. Sure, he can be that guy but he is doing it in the wrong way. He could actually do all these things but the problem lies in his recent actions, and worse,

For the most part, the media has jumped all over the negative side of Mayweather’s career and personal life. They say he is reluctant to face the current P4P king Manny Pacquiao. He is afraid to lose his unbeaten record by avoiding the best possible competition. They say he is cherry picking fights wherein he could generate more money with less competition.

Listen, the man has over 90 Amateur bouts and 41 professional bouts, he's been in Boxing since he was in diapers, I don't know the guy personally but I doubt he's afraid of Manny Pacqauio.

What Top Rank has done is create this juggernaut fighter that Mayweather is supposedly afraid of. Think back to 2006 they said it was Antonio Margartio then he lost, they said it was Miguel Cotto then he lost, and now its Manny Pacqauio who Floyd is scared of.

Do I think Floyd has avoided the fight, yes, But I think its more so because of the issues he's had outside the ring, lawsuits from Manny, Rodger's trial, domestic abuse cases, and then to top it all off a fight with some Flashlight Toy Cop.

With all these outside distractions their's noway he'd be able to focus while preparing for what would be the toughest and most important fight of his career.

I think he's letting Manny Pacqauio beat himself by taking on these bigger men and putting irrevocable fighter mileage himself. Manny's dominated all of his last three opponents but judging from his face it looks like another story. Floyd is waiting until someone beats Manny half to death like Mugabi-Haglar and the he can come save the day and ride of into the sunset.

    Mayweather world is falling apart.

He has a lot more to worry about than fighing. His freedom could be taken away.
This thing about him being afraid of pac, is just fall out stupid.

He is a fighter and has a massive ego

One thing for sure is, hes unpredictable, he can either get back in the ring asap, get in more trouble or retire for good. Which would you choose?

He better stay retired if can't fight tough opposition. And invest his money wisely, he doesn't want being broke past his prime.

Christy Martin is coming out of retirement. Void would love that fight, so would Roger since their specialty is beating up women!
