I know its fresh, but looking at the happenings in the lead up to this fight with Hatton, I think that Malignaggi has fewer and fewer options to further his career. His IBF title was stripped from him, he is now coming off of his second loss, I'm sure people will be less intimidated of him now, and you will see the bold up-and-comers being less fearful to spit out his name to get a bigname fight against someone they know they won't be ko'd by. So, how do you think Mr. Malignaggi can get back on his feet and make another charge towards world championship... or do you think his moments of fame are numbered? I think he can still make a stand at the top against a lot of the 140ers... Other 140 fighters I think give him a problem still are the likes of Judah, bradley, witter, hatton (obviously), and thats about it. He can still compete in and possibly win these same fights, but they will certainly be a bit dangerous. How do you think he should react to this latest loss?
ESPN Friday Night fights to try and build his career back after the miserable showing against Hatton.
him v judah would be a good fight as theyre both frm new york (i think) both need to prove themselves, also when amir khan moves up in a yr or 2 malignaggis perfect for him
I think 2 year olds in Manhattan have pretty bad dreams because of Malignaggi cutting his hair in the ring.
Beat anyone in the top25 and he's back. He lost, it happens, who cares. Now he just needs to rebuild like he did after Cotto. His argument of being an elite fighter has taken a serious hit.
If he continues to fight he'll most likely be just a gatekeeper...the kind of fighter no true champ is afraid of and the young, up and comers can't wait to get in the ring. Mag has some good slick boxing skills, but he has no power. Quick question: Name a fighter who ascended to the top of his weight class and couldn't punch a lick? Other than Willie Pep I can't think of one.
