No Chavez fight it would seem. No real interest in a Ward fight. Degale may well lose against Dirrell. Im thinking the only fight left is if Degale wins. Or is it time to ride off into the Nottingham sunset?
He should retire he has already accomplished a lot nothing else for him to do better to go of on a high.
The Ward fight is a business dead end. Have they announced the Ward-Smith fight yet? Froch will only fight DeGale if he beats Dirrell... Froch doesn't think Dirrell deserves a rematch. Carl is "curious" about Golovkin's power though.......
The only thing he seems to want it a fight in vegas, looks like its been a goal for him in hos careet and if he cant get that I think he retires.
It's been discussed time and time again. Froch is A side, Ward does not realize that. The $M are being brought to this fight courtesy of Froch, as you know all fights are being maxed out for revenue nowadays regardless of location - for a recent example look at Kovalev-Pascal in Montreal vs AC where Kovalev's fan base is. Froch as A side would like the fight in England, Ward is willing to go but is not willing to accept less than 50/50 even though he can only put 4-5K bums in seats in Cali (Rodriguez, Abraham). Do I need to keep going? If you think Ward is A side because of some old @ss P4P ranking, you just don't understand business. It's a fukkin dead end.
DeGale if he wins, if he loses...Kessler III? Groves III? Ward II? Sturm? There are always opponents.
He fights again just not against Ward or GGG , he will take another money fight , why not ? pepole overstress legacy , real life is about money and how much you have , he is going to retire really early in a "working" timeline , and like all athleats he needs to get as much money as he can to sustain his VERY high life standard , if you think he can stop working (boxing) and just live off his savings without giving up on his lifestyle you are wrong , he will take another several millions before he retires , its not like he goes in there and is getting hammered he is still competitive in the ring.
DeGale if he wins, GGG if he's interested, Stevenson if he's interested, maybe a Pascal rematch if he's interested or retirement if none of those are possible. Andre Dirrell rematch is also an acceptable fight if he beats DeGale but it probably wouldn't be entertaining and Froch might lose so I wouldn't take that fight if I was him. I also wouldn't be particularly interested in this fight as a boxing fan. I would still watch it but the I wouldn't be excited for the fight.
