He shouldve used his jab about twice as much with the stiffness he used in the Mosley and Gomez fight.. and Margarito did not respect Cottos power.. :-((
Cotto fought too defensively... Margarito fought with some defense.. but his intent was mostly to hit cotto with punches. Cotto shouldve trained to come out and blow him away in the first couple of rounds..
When Margarito fights somebody his own size HE LOSES.. look what happened when he fought Daniel Santos that was a competitive fight... look what happened against Paul Williams... it was just a matter of styles making the fight. Margarito is clumsy and too hardheaded
well Santos was about 10lbs heavier than Margarito in the ring so I don't see where they are the same size. And also Margarito looked like he was gonna pull off the W when they strangely stopped the fight on a cut that wasn't that bad and he lost a split technical decision.
LOL, the look of panic on Cotto's face and the reaction in his body when Margarito landed the first series of combinations against the ropes was palpable. Cotto looked like he was in a barrel full of rats. Dude panicked a little.
They both weighed in at 147, right? Who cares what happened in the past - I was watching the Cotto Margo fight today, and Margo destroyed him.
maybe I should say then somebody who is the same height or taller he loses..and yes i know he beat Cintron.. If he wouldnt have knocked Cintron out to be honest I think Cintron would have come on harder.. Cintron wasnt going to give up for anything in the rematch.. and Margarito hit him in the back of the head a lot of times
