He wasnt really lucky, its not like he was that hurt at any point, especially the last 2 knockdowns, he regained himself to end the round well.

 

Manny hesitated when he saw Juan down but then he realized Juan isn't actually down and still holding on to the ropes. That's when he tried to struck him again. I was actually amazed at Pacquiao's presence of mind during that split second. Pacquiao was never at fault, not one bit.

For all the bitching the *******s have done over that one judge scoring the 1st round 10-7........

.......not a word from them as to the ineptness of Joe Cortez and his failure to rightfully deduct a point from Pacquiao for punching JMM when he was down.

 

JMM had no issues, he believed if he went down the fight was over and was desperately trying to hold himself up. Plus from Pacs POV its likely he didn't see JMMs arm holding himself but just JMM holding the ropes.
