Of course it fair, americans think they're best at everything and let us know it let's see many fans they can get to travel. Even at their own sports the 02 is holding hockey and basketball next season, I believe there will be an NFL game held over here as well, I wonder how many USA USA USA USA fans will come?
Why would Americans follow an athlete in a sport we care nothing about as a nation to another country?
There are 300 million of you there must be some people that give a ****, whats a couple thousand out of 300 million?
do me a favour, yanks don't claim to be the best supporters overseas, and any that do, need to be sectioned.
We don't let you know anything. You just hold onto that to justify your anger. You feel we feel we are the best at everything. Americans in general don't really give a damn about where a person is from....we are a nation of immigrants.
We dont think we are best at everything. I dont understand where you got that idea. You do realize that America is a huge country compared to anything besides Russia in Europe. You can't expect all of us to like a certain sport and on top of it fly to other countrys.
300 million what? People? Or Americans? And no, most of the American population, hell, I would say most of the SPORTS loving American population gives a damn about boxing. You guys don't know enough about our country to make these statements. When we explain it to you, you don't want to listen. We don't care about boxing. The NBA Summer League games and the upcoming video game releases of NCAA Football 08 and Madden 08 are getting more coverage on ESPN then all of boxing combined. No, for the last time, USA doesn't care about boxing. At all....not even a little. They haven't since Tyson.
I'm not angry I love America actually, I alternate between Canada and the USA for my holiday. It's just some americans down right **** me off, but i'm not judging the whole nation based on that. I do think it'd be cool if you guys travelled more it'd make for a great atmosphere, imagine if you guys got a few thousand over for a hatton-mayweather fight, the banter would be awesome.
Ok. Say it costs $3,000. I can spend $50 for gas and $200 for a ticket and take a 2 hour drive to AC and watch Gatti vs Gomez and Cintron vs Matteyse next week and be almost 100% sure I'm going to see atleast one great fight and have alot better time then if I fly to Germany and watch a boring fighter like Wlad.
It WOULD be awesome. Agreed. But seriously, you would get more Americans traveling if you challenged us to a PS3 Madden 08 showdown than a boxing match. And I am not kidding even a little. I turn on ESPN hoping to find some coverage of boxing, some analysis. Nothing, nada, zippo. I HAVE to come here to get it.
Boxing is a minor sport in britain mate. A hatton fight at best gets minor newspaper coverage. But us fans (and i take it you're a boxing fan given that you are here) make the effort.
