Very likely. Mosley would KO Cotto at 147 prime for prime.

There were plenty of people saying Shane was too old before this fight. Trust me, I argued with most of them.

Mosley WAS/IS old. He is several years past his best. The people picking him felt he could win despite being old and not his former self. The fact that people picked him to win and that he made it a close fight is a credit to his talent.

Mosley imo should fight Cotto again it was a close fight and Mosley would beat Gomez. I would still love to see Mosley vs Zab or Mayweather. IMO mosly has a year or two left in him

Cotto would definitely get more credit for beating Mosley again than beating Gomez. It was a close fight and SSM deserves a rematch.

I agree, but Cotto and Arum never even mentioned it, I think they both knew they were lucky to get the win after Mosley adjusted. Very close fight.

    Shane is older, NOT old!
He fought a close fight with a future ATG in Cotto and Cotto is in his undeniable prime!
    Shane is NOT washed up!
I predicted a KO win for Shane in the Cotto fight but was wrong. They both fought well.

Mosley still beats Zab, Berto, Quintana and Margarito.

He is a top 3 welter still, behind Cotto and Floyd.

How the f*ck is he washed up?
Problem is, he was so f*cken good in his prime that it seems like he is way too old to compete and way slower than he once was.

I said that if Mosley showed his true colors in the fight and still got beat, then I would give Cotto full credit. In the fight, however, Shane had none of his old pop, none of his old ferocity, and none of his old speed. Cotto beat him by clear decision in my book. The fight was close, but clear for Cotto in terms of rounds won. Against a prime Shane I don't see it going the same way.

I agree about Cotto winning a close, clear fight. I had it 7-5 but thought Cotto won 7 rounds clearly.

It's amazing that Mosley is still a top 5 welter yet he's nothing like his former self. His speed and workrate have both dropped a lot and he doesn't throw many combinations like he used to.

Mosley didnt ask for a rematch when asked about it by Merchant.

Age is every fighters worst enemy and it is with Mosley too.
How Hopkins keeps going is amazing but the guys in the lighter divisions don't seem to get past 35yrs very often and still be at the top of their game.
I think Mosley has a couple of good fights in him this year but that should see him out.

If you are going to say Mosley is old and washed up then your saying the talent in the WW division isnt there. Because Mosley would whoop everyone in there. The only ones that i see that can beat Mosley are either Cotto who already did or PBF. Everyone else in there gets beat by him.
So think before you speak. Mosley is very dangerous. Its just the ****en Cotto haters that say this
