With pretty much all the superstars of the game probably retired. I can't really say that there is a new batch of talent coming up, but maybe i haven't been keeping up with the next generation.

The old big time promoters will be retired. There companies will be around but the leadership will be different.

It just seems like nowadays a lot of this fighters are more hype than substance.

ODLH will still be around with Golden Boy Promotions.

Arum will be dead so probably things will be better in terms of co-promoting fights.

i dont mean to rant on about yanks like everyone does but it pisses me of when you see people write this and id gues you are american. if you're not then i appologise. but you here many americans say " boxings dying" "theres no super stars anymore" bla bla bla.

look there is some very good prospects out there if you care to look.
saul canelo alverez: very good technically. could be a big star!
jose benavides: already giving manny a test in sparring at 17. he will be huge star imo.
david lemieux: charismatic guy and ko artist. maybe the best p4p puncher in the game.
yourakis gamboa: awesome combination puncher. so exciting to watch.
james degale: super talented fighter who's made for the big time with his flashy style.

then you have a huge list of great young fighters like lara, golovkin, henry, kameda, donaire, khan, gomez, brook, kirkland, ward, dirrell, ect ect ect the list goes on.

you will notice a pattern though. not that many are american..... get used to it!!! the wealth of talent is spread across the globe. its good for the sport.

so to cap it off boxing is actually thriving!
