I don't know if it's just me but I don't see anything to be impressed by in Arthur Abraham save for his immense heart and solid chin. He throws the widest, wildest punches I have ever seen. It is a poor reflection on the state of boxing at the weight that he can be so successful, in my humble opinion.
Knowing Ring Magazine if it's a European that wins it they probably won't even be listed in the top 10
The winner of the super six will not have much clout pound 4 pound because that division is still open and has other champions ... and Pavlik is about to come up ... there's no way the winner of the super six is in anyone's top 10 ... the tournament isn't turning out all it was hyped up to be. There was no one else to get other than Allan Green? ...
top3. especially if undefeated. Maybe even #1. I'd say if the winner goes undefeated throughout, he will surely be ranked p4p#1. Throw in a knockout win or two for insurance.
To many variables involved to even hazard a guess. In addition, all three of the first round fights were ugly affairs with questionable officiating. The tourney isn't turning out to be near as good as we thought it would. It's just some closely matched "B" level guys battling for the right to fight the Pavlik/Bute winner.
Its still in its opening stages, Froch v Kessler and Abraham should be exciting, and Andre Ward is good to watch in my opinion. The fights havent been wars, but it will help to clear up the division, and hopefully give us a new star or two.
