I have watched all of his fights closely. Prime Tito before he even fought on HBO would be #1 WW in the world.

A 37-year-old Mosley is not beating a peak Tito. Peak Mosley would struggle with peak Tito!

Too many people remember Tito as the mw who was soundly beaten by two elite defensive technicians, Hopkins and Wright.

That never happened at welter. True, Oscar outpointed him at welter, but there is no-one currently at 147 who can box like Oscar could in '99. Well, except Floyd but Floyd is no welterweight. His size and his style at 147 would see him beaten by peak Trinidad at 147. Floyd is a truly great fighter, but he is not a truly great welterweight.

Tito would be a clear number 1.

Agree with your assesment and PBF. I believe he would stop Mosley due to Mosley getting caught up with trying to actually go toe to toe. I would favor Tito 60/40 over Williams.

He would destroy cotto, beat the current version of mosley(and maybe the prime version), williams is a tough one, but i think PW has too many defensive gaps, and I don't know if PBF could hang 12 rounds with tito haunting him, but he very well might outbox him.
pac wouldn't even dream about fighting Trinidad.

Agreed. Either one would smash up Margo badly since he likes to eat punches, and give Cotto or Clottey a good beatdown. Prime Mosley is their equal, but this is old Mosley now.

PW is the wild card... I'm not really sure where to put him. I'm not sure he can even make WW anymore.

Not #1! Some of you forget that right after he sqeaked past DLH, Mosely took on DLH and beat in a much more convincing fashion. Not to mention clottey is a more power punching version of Winky Wright with a shell defense and would possibly pitch the same shut out winky did. Thats not even mentioning Cotto, PTP, of Floyd! If he takes on that top five he gets 3 loses.

He'd be number one in todays division I believe.

Tito v Shane is a fight I'd love to have seen. A Mosley win is certainly possible but I think his tendancy to go to war would get him into big trouble at some point. I'll take Trinidad to win this one and I don't think a stoppage is out of the question.

Tito stops Cotto within 5 - I've got no doubt at all about the outcome of this one,

Williams hasn't done anything at 147 to suggest to me he could beat Tito. I don't think he could deal with Trinidad, who would be in his face from bell-to-bell. I see Paul getting off to a decent start, then fading in the middle rounds like he did against The Plastered ******* - then Tito will wear him down and get the ko.

Much as it pains me to say it, I could see Floyd boxing and moving to a UD. Tito was a better boxer at 147 and he went to the body more than he did later in his career, so there's always the possibility he's too strong for Floyd and could slow him down and hurt him going into the later rounds ... but I'd make Floyd the favourite.

He'd beat every other contender, probably by ko.

Tito can be a bit overrated/underrated depending on what side your on, but that Clottey statement was just idiotic:-(

Isn't Clottey the fighter who lost to a one eyed Cotto? Either Cotto or Clottey would get stopped by the left hook. Styles make fights and I truly believe Mosley's pride would get him in trouble by slugging with Tito. I thought Oscar should have beaten him, but he decided to play it safe and run. PBF could outbox him unless he gets caught.

He's be number 1 at the moment, of that i am in no doubt, but i would slightly favour floyd if he is as good as before his retirement that he would beat trinidad
