We have a good thread going on Tito against today's welters. But what about a prime Hoya? Williams, Cotto, Mayweather, Margarito, Cintron, Clottey, all the bunch.

Favored against everyone. I can see Floyd and PW beating him though.

It is interesting for me to see how PW takes a prime DLH left hook :). I guess he destroys Cintron and outbox and out works Clottey. If it is a Margarito from the Cotto fight he wins a close UD because he aslo has a great chin and is a better boxer. His problem in this match will be his endurance against a non stop punching machine. I think he loses the last couple of rounds but still manage to win the fight. Cotto and PW for me are closer fights. Cotto can worry him to the body and Williams can be a problem with his size and volume. Oscar is also very so it was going to be great match.

Not Williams, the guy takes a left hand pretty easy. Welter Hoya would have come inside with a left uppercut. I say ko by 5th round for Hoya.

Mayweather would be tricky but up in the air. Hoya could have outworked Mayweather as Mayweather at the higher weights would not be as offensive as he was at lower weights.

Oscar would have beaten them all, including Void. I had Oscar beating Void when Oscar was over-the-hill, in his prime Void would have no chance.
    Even Void, Sr. said that.

The two at lightweight would have been explosive.

Let's see DLH fought and beat the following big named fighters at 147 . . . Pernell Whitaker(40-1); Hector Camacho (63-3-1); Cesar Chavez Sr (102-2-2); Ike Quartey(34-0); Oba Carr(48-2); Derrel Coley (34-1) then lost to Tito and Mosley . . . Hmmm . . . I 'll put him at top 3 since I already picked Tito to be #1.

Among the fighters today I only see him having difficulty against Williams.

This is not both Hoya and Tito in today's welters, just Hoya.
That also means prime Hoya against today's Mosley, the same Mosley the young welters are having a problem with.

    OK the prime Hoya . . . against today's welter . . . I'll put him on one.

I'm still looking at P Williams as the hardest fight.

Oscar would beat them all. I agree also. The only problem with Oscar at 147 is his power left him so he would win decisions.
