The potential matchups between Louis vs. Wlad & Louis vs. Vitali would pit my all time favorite Heavyweight against my current favorites. Some folks would write off Joe's chances due to size & weight while other nostalgic fans would say Louis beat other huge fighters and he'd walk through both Klitschkos.

    I'm caught between.

I can easily see Wlad outboxing & beating Joe from a distance that keeps Wlad from the incoming bombs from Louis. But, I can just as easily see Joe landing a patented short inside right hand when Wlad tries to hold on the inside. One thing's for certain, a single punch could swing that matchup either way since both have 1 punch power. The edge in boxing skill would slightly favor Wladimir while the inside fighting edge would clearly go to Louis. Both have ATG jabs, speed & good power in both hands.

Vitali vs. Louis is even tougher to gauge since unlike Wlad, Vitali is very comfortable fighting on the inside and he has a granite chin. Edge to Louis for single punch power and punching in combination, but it's a slight edge.

Joe Louis would beat seven shades of **** outta Arreola. If you don't believe me, see Louis vs. Carnera or the Baer brothers. The reason? Buddy, Max & Primo had similar skills to Arreola and that's just not enough against Louis. Both Klitschkos have enough skills to make a better fight against Louis, especially their jabs and accuracy. I hate it when people say the Klitschkos have the same skills as Carnera :nono They'd be right about Arreola though.

For a lot of his carreer he did not even weight 200 pounds so he would be not even a crusierweight to start his carreer. He was about 180 and 190 pounds for a lot of his prime. He could make super middle weight these days.

This is all true and a fighter with 1/100th of the skills of Joe Louis (Haye) took Wlad 12 rounds.

Anyone who think the Klitchkos would be too much for Joe Louis needs to study the history of boxing, because it is just foolish. Louis is perhaps the greatest puncher in the history of the sport. He was great as infighting. He had a powerful jab to get to the infighting. He could knock you out with either hand. Louis knocks both Vitali and Wlad out inside 15 rounds

Cmon Jack....those bigmen had ZERO boxing ability. ****ing Jameel McCline looks like Sugar Ray Robinson compared to the big men of the NOSTALGIA days.

And they get little to no credit for beating them cause they are to small. Same as Joe louis who was ktfo by two middle weights basiclly.

It could happen but that's a very simplistic view in my "not so" humble opinion.:deal

Just because Louis beat Carnera & the Baers so easily doesn't write off the Klitschko's chances. You just can't seriously compare the skills of the K-Bros & those guys :nono

VK and Wlad might literally kill Joe Louis. He would be very small by todays stands, and one right hand from them is a lot worse than a right hand from Schmeling.
