Technically speaking JMM got robbed twice of that belt.

First against Pac and then when Bradley had it handed to him vs Pac.

JMM/Pac 4 should have been for a legit title as was mentioned earlier.

Marquez is the Number 2 Greatest Mexican of all time :deal:good

If he would have that 5th belt which he rightfully deserves and Bradley is holding hostage, people would not be arguing if Marquez is number 2. but Arguing if he is number 1.

**** the belt, he don't need it.

Belts are a nice bonus to a man's resume, especially if they're lineal titles. But it's about the names more than anything.

JMM beatin Pac ain't any bigger/lesser dependin on a belt bein involved.

Anyone with a brain would rank him on the merits of his work in the ring as they saw it and not by what corrupt officials say should be his merits based on their agenda driven say so.

Chavez at #1, Marquez and Lopez in any order taking the next two spots seem about right to me.

Belts dont mean Jack nowdays. Marquez adds a name or two like Bradley, Rios, Garcia, to his resume, then you can start inching toward making a case for #1, though that would'nt do it imo.

I think the only way to make a strong case for Marquez at #1 would be if he were to beat an elite at either 140 lbs or 147 lbs.

There's only one real elite opponent out there at those weights and thats Mayweather.
Marquez is just not a welterweight. The physical disadvantages are to big to consider Marquez could hand Mayweather a defeat at 147 lbs.
