@Mitch87 openly rated Wilder in the top 3 in 2018 and said that Wilder would be top 10 "in any era". The narrative changed dramatically after Joshua got exposed by Ruiz.

Whyte thought he was a big favourite to beat Wallin in London, then he saw southpaw Usyk school his conqueror Joshua and he thought "I've made a mistake". A few days later the event was cancelled. He also could have fought Wallin instead of part time factory worker Franklin.

I don't think any Joshua-victim barring Wlad is clearly above the level of a prime Chisora and I'd include the Ruiz who demolished Joshua in that. Wallin's beat Gassiev, given Fury a tough 12 rounder, so I'm expecting Joshua to have a difficult distance fight, whatever the cards say.

Mitch has a lot of idiosyncrasies in his writing that DramaShow does not. But given Mitch pipes up as soon as DramaShow gets banned, given they are both obsessive and focus on the same topics, with largely the same opinions, they're almost certainly the same guy. I also thought DramaShow was excessively defensive when he was accused of being Mitch, and excessively defensive of Mitch. Mitch is the Id of DramaShow for my money.

Mitch started to feel sorry for himself after I used his own quotes from 2018 on against him and deconstructed his logic, hence his full-time switch to DramaShow, who I find boring and generally don't interact with.

A @Mitch87 analysis on where Wallin ranks:

    April 2019

Mitch: Breazeale is a solid fringe contender and Joshua's 5th or 6th best win, on par with Takam.

    January 2021

    *Wallin schools Breazeale*

    July 2022

    February 2019

Mitch: Gassiev is the 2nd best cruiserweight of the last decade and would beat Wilder and Fury.

    March 2023

    *Wallin beats Gassiev*

    November 2020

Mitch: Gassiev would beat Wilder but Pulev would get KO'd by Wilder

Wallin is The Ring #10 Hw right now, so credit there.

Id say he would rank at 6, but depends on the fight itself:
    1 Wlad K.
    2 Ruiz
    3 Povetkin
    4 Parker
    5 D. White
    6 Wallin
    7 Pulev

    Klitschko
    Povetkin
    Ruiz
    Parker
    Wallin
    Pulev
    Whyte
    Franklin
    Takam
    Martin

    I'd have it as 5th.

When considered objectively Prime Wallin possibly would be Joshua’s best ever win…

    Wallin
    Parker
Shot to pieces old retired VLADD
    morbidly obese Andy
    One armed whyteleafe
    Shot to pieces old takam
    Shot to pieces old povetkin
    Shot to pieces old Helenius
    Shot to pieces old pulev
    Breazeale
    Molina
    Martin
    Franklin

history has shown us AJ doesn’t get in with prime guys unless the deck is stacked in his favour.

Now he’s suddenly fighting on someone else’s card away from home and he’s going for his second live body win in his career.

Warren has to take some credit here as much as it pains me to say it, for getting Joshua out of his comfort zone.

Joshua's CV is so bad Wallin probably tops the list when context is applied at the time of every Joshua fight and the vacant route to World Titles.

    That’s rather subjective.

I would back the versions of Wlad and Povetkin that AJ faced to beat Wallin.

Wallin gave Fury far more to think about than VLADD.

Shot old Povetkin went 1-1 with whyteleafe who publicly DUCKED Wallin.

I think the Povetkin Whyte faced was alot more shot than the one AJ beat. Watch the first fight again, Povetkins balance and feet were just utterly dreadful. Even worse in the rematch. The version AJ beat was massively in decline but hadn't hit the bottom yet.

Wallin isn't all that good imo he reminds me of a shot less powerful Povetkin.
