Wallin's win over Gassiev is probably better than any Povetkin win. Prior to Wallin beating him most would have agreed with that statement.

I'd say on par with Whyte.

Easily top 3; I would say 2nd. Arguably 1st if Joshua manages to legitimately defeat an Otto Wallin who shows up and is game.

Right now, Joshua's top 5 wins would be:

    1) Inactive shot Klitschko dragged out of retirement looking for a final payday
    2) Wallin
    3) Paper champ paint-dry Parker
    4) Shot ghost of Povetkin
    5) Very green kickboxer Whyte (or obese untrained Ruiz cashing out; take your pick)

I agree with the top two but Parker came to survive against Joshua first and foremost and lost to Whyte, who lost to a much worse version of Povetkin than the one Joshua beat in 7. And although Povetkin and Whyte got taken out by Joshua, they gave him tougher fights than Parker. Post-Joshua Povetkin beat a better version of Hughie in more convincing version than Parker. I also think Parker lost to Chisora in their first fight more clearly than Whyte did, Whyte fought back with more tenacity and didn't get dropped, and Whyte got the KO over Chisora in the rematch, against a better Chisora than the Parker rematch version. Ruiz sabotaged himself before the Joshua rematch so I'd put him below Parker but above Helenius/Pulev/Takam/Breazeale/Franklin etc.

    Wallin
    Povetkin
    Whyte
    Parker

Thought Parker was deterred by the ref tbh who warned him for hitting him lol and letting him call his own timeouts.

    Never seen anything like it.

Wallin is someone who I have continually underestimated; I thought Fury would steamroll him, similarly I thought Gassiev would stop him. Evidently he is a tough, skilled southpaw; if Joshua beats him, his only wins I would put on a higher pedestal are Klitschko, Povetkin, Ruiz and Parker.

Wouldn’t even cross Joshua’s top 5 wins which portrays the strength of his resume. Waldmir Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin, a prime, undefeated world champion in Joseph Parker, Andy Ruiz Jr, and Dillian Whyte all ahead of him. He could maybe slip into 5th position ahead of Whyte.

Joshua will make light-work of Wallin on December 23 and will receive no credit. He could win on points outboxing the “master southpaw boxer” in Wallin yet @Beale and the rest of the haters on here will complain that he never stopped the Swede. Remember Fury went life-and-death with the Swedish southpaw.

Joshua should win this one comfortably and fight Wilder or Hrgovic for the IBF World Title next and become a 3-time heavyweight champion of the world. Again Joshua could beat the 5th best heavyweight in the world in Filip Hrgovic who is apparently too risky for him, and is also the guy who beat Zhang who beat Joyce who apparently would steam-roll Joshua, but again receive no credit.

I’m liking Joshua’s attitude and mindset here at the press conference. Joshua beat Wallin twice in the amateurs and will make it a 3rd in Riyadh on DAZN globally. Don’t miss it.

Pretty high as Joshua's best wins were either over the hump or in Ruiz's case trained out of Taco Bell.

Lots of smack talking about Joshua on here, and a lot of hyping up of Wallin. Contrary bunch, so I guess by that logic kudos to Joshua for fighting him…

    anyway:

1 - Klitschko, at the time a top 3 HW at worst, regardless of whatever arguments you wanna make.
2 - Povetkin, at the time top 5 at worst
3 - Parker, at the time top 5 at worst
4 - Ruiz, at the time top 5 at worst
5 - Whyte, at the time was undefeated and on the up and achieved a lot post Joshua, like it or not
6 - Pulev, another clear consensus top 10 HW
7 - Wallin, interchangeable with Pulev, but I have listed him here as he is *just* on the fringes of top 10 at the moment, whereas Pulev was clear top 10 at the time
8 - Charles Martin, he has proven to be tougher and less of an easy night than people like to give him credit for. Plus was undefeated and a southpaw champ at the time
9 - Dominic Breazeale, he was an undefeated Olympian at the time
10 - Jermaine Franklin, interchangeable with Breazeale but I gave Dom the nod due to his undefeated record and former Olympian status.

See, people love to bash Joshua and find reasons to denigrate his record - but he HAS been fighting consensus top 10 fighters consistently, and/or champions. Which is more than can be said for most. The way he was written off ahead of Ruiz 2 and then the extreme walking back after his easy victory shows how fickle people are when it comes to AJ. And the same applies here - apparently Wallin is set to be one of Joshua’s biggest tests and best wins, but still let’s crap on Joshua for fighting him?

Regardless of how people may wanna reappraise his opponents in the rear view mirror they were all top 10 fighters, mandatories, or champions. Can’t really have a problem with that.

Joshua has zero elite traits and simply a well managed boxer, taking advantage of the vacant belt route, who has ducked the only two threats in the very poor era being Wilder and Fury until Usyk moved up.

Don't hate anyone but simply seen through Hearn's spin during the 2nd round of Joshua v Whyte.

Don't confuse the word hate with rate.

Amazed that some people with boxing knowledge have not seen it yet!!!!!

Wow, that's a horrible take, man. It was a shut out for Wallin, and you had Gassiev winning? Come on.

    I’d have it:

    1. Klitschko
    2. Povetkin
    3. Parker
    4. Ruiz jr
    5. Whyte
    6. Pulev
    7. Wallin
