    Thats my point
So where do you draw the line?

Great resume but boring shoulder rolling , pot shotting hugging & running his way to victory … or good resume steam rolling, destroying everyone?

I pick the latter but that’s just me … clearly.

Crawford hardly steamrolled the last guy who was 10-0-1

too bad you don't give credit to smaller fighters who aren't exactly carrying their power up, especially when outsized by multiple weights (Whitaker being another)

Crawford has beaten far lesser opposition though so i don't see how you can really say hes the better fighter. Mayweather would've run rings and dominated pretty much anyone on Crawford's resume.

As for more exciting ? at Welterweight when Mayweather had bad hands yes. But i don't see how you can say Crawford is more exciting than Mayweather at the lower weightclasses.

Mayweather vs Corrales, Gatti, Ndou, were masterclasses where Mayweather shows full a range of offense. And other fights like Chavez, Augustus, Corley, were exciting fights.

I don't really remember Crawford being in any fights as good as the ones above apart from his fight vs Gamboa and maybe Porter.

I don't blame Crawford for not having the opposition of Mayweather, but my issue is a poster in this thread claimed Crawford is a top 15 ATG and that is nonsense.

I give hellsh credit to Whitaker, Paquiao & Mayweather. I just don’t understand discrediting Crawford- it’s a strange phenomenon around here.

    Again imo
I prefer Knockouts & risk takers / people who step on the gas to get their guys outta there
Over Boxing safety 1st clinics / avoid making a fight at all costs “jus win baby” types.
(See Mayweather vs Marquez while a brilliant savant master class - he could have gotten JMM out of there but elected to coast like the safety 1st guy that he is)

if Crawford goes undisputed in154lbs on paper he will be greater & this debate can echo in eternity

Im not saying he is top 15 at all.
Just saying on paper he will be greater then Mayweather if he accomplishes undisputed at 154lbs.

Hindsight everyone wants to discredit Spence but before hand he was talked about as if he was some damn super hero.

Beating Danny Garcia and Ugas, I remember having multiple discussions saying that Crawford beats Spence and was met with the argument of what he "went through" and is still competing on an elite level...... I pointed out that he didn't receive a single major surgery from his car accidents. The worst that came from that car flip was a DUI charge and some scratches, which is amazing in itself when you see the video. But regardless, I was supposed to be "delusional" for stating that Crawford will make it look easy based on his IQ along with his athleticism........ Now after he's done exactly what I said he would do..... Spence is being talked about like he was some bum off the streets incapable of competing vs anyone...... Last I checked, he was top 5 p4p going into the fight. There are multiple sources that advertised the match as being a couple pound for pound competitors "IN THEIR PRIMES" fighting for the first undisputed at welterweight in the 4 belt era.......

Don't come at me as if I'm pulling this shyt out of no where kid. Just because you are able to throw out a bunch of current Hall of Famers whom are names respected today, doesn't change the fact that Crawford.... vs his peers, he DOMINATED the competition. Crawford can't be penalized because of the era he was in. YOU don't know what the result would have been had he fought a Duran. We can only point out certain scenarios based on how we saw them fight someone else. I'm not here saying that he is better than all those names. I'm saying that he is definitely in the discussion regardless if you like it or not.

And Postol was not a better win that Gamboa.....another top 5 p4p fighter who was undefeated when he fought Crawford. Postol wasn't even a better win that Shawn Porter in my opinion.

I think the main argument is that Crawford has much lesser competition wise then Whitaker and Mayweather Etc. It seems that they beat better guys on the whole.

I hate to be a downer, but I've been watching boxing for 50 years and the current skill level of the average fighter is way below what it was only just in the 90s or so, it has really plummeted.

Crawford fans painted this picture?.....I saw Spence fans pushing that superhuman status more than anything, especially he came back and beat Danny Garcia 9-3/8-4........You act as if people haven't walk away from tragic events that they should have died from and lived a normal life. I personally walked away from a car that flipped repeatedly on the interstate while doing 75 mph in my early 20s. My broken collarbone was more of a physical injure than EJ experience from his accident while being ejected from his car. That was a message to him from his creator being that he is still with us. Feel free to enlighten me on the major injuries and/or surgeries he sustained/went through/experienced from the 2nd and 3rd car accidents that effected his ability to compete?

Fact is, these fighters go through extensive physicals to make sure they are capable of competing. Licensed doctors evaluate these fighters not a bunch of Man Fans who simply want to see them punch or be punched. EJ being beaten like he did vs Crawford was a talent/skill issue, not due to some car accident he was able to survive and live a normal life from years prior to. Crawford deserves all credit for his hardwork and preparation to do his job vs his opponents, not excuses on why his opponents weren't able to excel in any particular area in the ring.

It's dismissive to these fighters who put their life on the line to entertain a bunch of mfers who drink and eat anything that doesn't run from them and wouldn't dare step in a ring to do what those fighters do. And stop the ignorant shyt about someone being a "Crawford Fan" because you don't agree with something they say about Crawford.......I got tire of seeing the "Crawford Fan vs Spence Fan" nonsense and don't want to be associate with either. I'm a boxing fan. I obvious am a for certain fighters' based on style more than others, but I enjoy the sport.

I get what you are saying, but I don't see how the 154 pound division is any different from 168 and 175 as far as the top guys being very good.

At 154lbs, how many of those guys have fought each other?......And then how much different is that from the 168 and 175 divisions.

I totally understand the 135/40lb division being that many of those guys have talked about fighting someone and then never do, or avoided match ups, etc.....but claim to be the face of boxing. So I won't defend them. But those divisions above them are pretty damn good and stacked with young talent. I dare say that the welterweight division is wide open as well, with Ennis, Stanionis, Norman Jr., Barrios, Crowley, Benn, Ellis, etc....all showing to be the big dog of that division with the exit of Crawford, Spence, Porter, Danny, and inactive Thurman not being factors there.

I do like that 154lb division though, which is why I feel Crawford needs to focus on handling the division he is in rather than chasing a fight that could possibly never happen and/or be too much on him physically to bare. Ortiz, Fundora, Tszyu, Danny, Spence, Zayas, Lubin, Ramos......and who knows, maybe Charlo gets mentally healthy and decides to actually step to Crawford as he claimed he would do a couple years ago before the Spence and Avaneysan fight.

What the hell are you even ranting on about my guy ? You made an outrageous claim that Crawford was a top 15 ATG he's not even close to that and i called you on that absurd claim that's all.

I never even called you a Crawford fan boy lol you're ranting so much you forgot what was even said take a deep breath and relax my guy.

Spence was clearly not 100 percent vs Crawford and had only fought 4 times in 4 years, you'd have to be fool to think Spence was 100 percent he clearly wasn't. Not that it made a difference to the actual result i always picked Crawford to beat Spence and i quote an old post if you want.

Good win vs Spence but the circumstances surrounding it does take some shine off the win.

But clearly Crawford is not a top 15 ATG come on all the names i listed make Crawford's resume look ordinary in comparison.

For example Broner is a 4 weight division champion but he wouldn't even be in the top 100 fighters of all time you need context.

Crawford is more like a top 50 fighter rather top 15.
