Na mate there were a lot of people round him helping out. Look how well Canelo has been managed til recently. That's the treatment Mayweather got.

Literally self managing would be idiotic, but hiring the right people and not being exploited by a big name promoter=smart management of self.

He's a great defensive boxer, perhaps the greatest in history. That's what he specializes in.

What he lacks was KO power, especially compared to ATGs. He only has a 54% KO rate, whereas most ATGs have 60% or higher.

I think that's why the more casual boxing fans or fans that just hate him call his boxing style boring: it was safe yet very defensive and adaptable, but didn't have the power that would have endeared him to other fans.

Him beating all of those champions has to be put into context though.

There’s fighters with better wins and better resumes.

    Sports science?

Accomplished more than anyone in the sport, past or present?

What’s with the sports science nonsense?

Who was fighting cans as opponents?

You appear to be very ignorant.

I'm not one to make lists, but somewhere around 25-30 sounds about right. Same goes for Pac. And BHop ain't too far behind.

Realistically top 10-15 fighter for all the flack Floyd get it’s been 3 belts since the early 80’s and 2 belts for way longer than that, nobody in history has fought as many high quality fighters in that many divisions and never had an off night.
Whether in they prime, before they prime, or outta they prime every GREAT fighter in boxing history has a loss except for Floyd that is remarkable. Ppl gonna hate but it is what it is. You can say this or that fighter has a better singular wins but 1 win don’t make you great it’s about a sustained GREATNESS and reaching that level and staying at that level and technically Floyd was really a reigning world champion for 17 outta 20years as a fighter
