Everything you have posted is not factual.

Ricky Hatton had to move up a weight and fight a recognisable name in order to get a fight with Floyd. He also goaded Floyd in his post-fight interview, which according to Leonard Ellerbe, made Floyd call Ellerbe in a rage, where he demanded that he made the fight for him.

Again, Manny didn’t duck Floyd, and you can’t or won’t admit that it was Floyd who was the one guilty of taking PEDS.

Floyd would never have fought Thurman or Brook at that stage of his career. Floyd carefully selected his opponents when he was winding down.

It’s funny that you believe that if Thurman had beaten Spence, that Floyd would have fought him. Get real man. Floyd retired against Andre Berto and Conor McGregor as they were safe fights. He wouldn’t have fought Thurman at that stage, and certainly not if he’d have beaten a guy who Floyd had huge respect for. You are kidding yourself. Floyd was a safety first businessman at that point.

If we're just talking about pure skill, Floyd is in a class all by himself.

Floyd gets criticized for fighting slow, short-armed, short, flat-footed plodders.

Who are these fast, tall, rangy boxers Floyd didn't fight, besides Khan?

Floyd had long arms for a WW, and was one of the fastest fighters ever. Why does Floyd get criticized for having physical advantages over opponents, and using them? If you had physical advantages over an opponent, why would you NOT use them?

Meanwhile, nobody criticizes Thomas Hearns for having a height and reach advantage over everyone he fought.

Honestly I can name 20 fighters that I'd personally rank higher than Floyd, but I'd say he lands between 15-25. I truly think he was one of the best 130'ers ever.

Can only speak for the last 50 years or so, I won't go beyond that since it's hard to find consistent footage of most guys and also because the demographics have changed since then, guys arent working on the stockyards or as plummers anymore, they are full time fighters..

    I would put Floyd...

    Top 5 to 7.

I think I have him very close to Whitaker and Hearns, you could always argue one over the other..

He is below Leonard but, above Hagler.

    Above Roy Jones.
    Above Trinidad..
    Above Ricardo Lopez.
    Above Klitschkos

Probably below B-Hop, not sure about Holyfield.

    Above Lennox.
    Above Wilfred Benítez.
    Above Salvador Sanchez .

Manny Pacquiao is debatable, but Mayweather holds the H2H.

    Above Arguello and Pryor

You can’t criticise someone for their physical advantages.

However, you can question the quality of some of their wins based upon it.

He's #1 in the amount of haters he has that try to discredit him while making excuses for his opponents and having double standards for them.

Somewhere in the 20s.. His style and handpicking limits him on my list. What he did was amazing to be undefeated and know who to fight, a and that takes skill but he did have to orchestrate his career, and he did wait for Manny to slip and lose.

Take every boxer who beat everybody they ever fought and that's a short list.
Marciano, Calzaghe, Lewis, Mayweather, Lopez, McAuliffe, Ward, Fury, Ottke.............

I personally wouldn't rank him at all, Someone that abused PED's, was caught red handed. yet escaped punishment. He was like a drunken, feather fisted amateur ballet dancer with a completely orchestrated record in my honest opinion

Do you really think he was the only boxer to use PEDs?

And yet Floyd retired unified champ at 147&154 at the time time has a win over Manny who beat Thurman lol… meanwhile we have Thurman who was forced into fighting the only 2 top welter he’s been in the ring with barely scraped by both refused to rematch faked injuries and car accidents to stall out and avoid fights.
Man y’all need to let ya hate go if Manny didn’t duck Floyd why the fu<k did his team say they can’t fight Floyd because they have a cut that won’t heal or because they need to build a stadium???
Y’all don’t like Floyd the person and let ya bias blind you to FACTS, Ricky Hatton was a champ at 140 with Floyd and sat ringside at the Gatti fight and afterwards tucked tail and ran and said he was not ready and when they finally did fight the boy got knocked out.

How do you handpick the #1 fighter at least twice in every division??
