You gonna come up with another excuse after I prove all of this info to be incorrect-:deal Floyd retired- Margarito got his a$$ whooped by Tony already:deal Mosley-lmfao-took the loss to Miguel I HAVE NO ARGUMENT WITH SAYING "FLOYD DUCKED MIGUEL"...ITS THE ONE FIGHTER I THINK A CASE COULD BE MADE THAT FLOYD DUCKED:good AGAIN-HE FIGHTS THE BEST COMPETITION AVAILABE AND IS LOYAL TO THE WBC- This thread is not about that though so lets get back on topic-HOW DO U RANK FLOYD BASED ON HIS SKILLS?
Im trying to think of fighters with an argument for being more skilled: -Willie Pep -Wilfred Benitez -Sugar Ray Leonard -Sugar Ray Robinson -Pernell Whitaker -Kid Gavilan -Kid Chocolate -Sal Sanchez ...I think Orlando Canizales, Donald Curry, Ike Williams were extremely skilled in their prime. Then there's great fighters of all time that I have not seen extended video of in order to judge like Ketchel (besides the Johnson fight), Greb, Benny Leonard, Micky Walker who are undoubtedly IMO top 15 all time based on resume, but according to the papers they were extremely skilled/talented, but they are prone to hyperbole. Hard to say, extremely skilled.
so u mad at floyd cuz PAC turned down a drug test? why should floyd fight a dude who cant even give up blood. little girls in the olympics do it. u should be mad a pacquiao for being a ***** thats scared of needles and possibly a roid user.
It's hard to say. How many other slick boxers are there in the Top 10 ATGs? Skillwise, I witnessed an older De La Hoya was on even terms with Floyd until he gassed after 8 rounds. Imagine what a younger Shane Mosley would do to Floyd when a 38 year old version really hurt him bad even for just 1 round.
top 25-30ish. based purely on his skill. If I were to take into account his resume, I would probably say top 50ish.
Im only 18 so he's the best Ive ever seen skills wise and the only ones that close are pernell whitaker and roy jones. I have however seen many great fighters fights in full and he has still impressed me more than any other in his ability to adjust to any style or fight any fight. and still dominate most opponents. I'd say top 10 to top 5 overall. I cant name anyone im comfortable saying is a better boxer than Floyd Mayweather Jr. And I mean boxer in every in ring aspect.
imo you should wait until he finally retires then you'll have to deal with less haters/fanboys & you'll be able to judge his record against history. time always gives you perspective. he'll rank very highly imo.
