Where would you rank GGG - Canelo in terms of robberies in boxing history?

118-110 was a bad card. But a draw is no robbery.

She should be personally interviewed so she can provide the detailed reasons for her scoring.

There have been bigger robberies where people have lost out on alot more on the night, he didnt lose and he didnt lose his belts. But it was still a robbery none the less and has has lost his 100% win record with it.

Very, very far down the list.

    It was a draw.

In a fight that a slender majority of ringsiders appear to have scored close (more had it for Alvarez, a draw, or 115-113 to Golovkin than had it wider).

This isn't nearly as bad as a fight in which one guy clearly won and the judges gave it to the other guy.

    Probably not top 100.

I don't think so... His chin is abnormal. I don't think he's going to see canvas once in his career unless he fights until he's near 40. Once again that was on display, walking through some of Canelo's power shots in the later rounds like they were jabs... And there's the invincibility. I thought he was wobbled that one time but turned out to be a deflection...

As for the destruction machine, it was a self-imposed thing. He backed off a lot when Canelo was on the ropes. He had a LOT of respect for Canelo's counter punching/power and so we didn't see him go full bezerker mode like he usually does, and he didn't land much in combination. He was throwing a lot of the punches that connected with medium power out of caution. As stated in the post-fight interview, Canelo didn't "feel his power", but that's because GGG wasn't landing it. If he'd stayed right in Canelo's face round after round landing relentless full power clubbing shots to the body and head, he'd have been worn down like the rest of them. But Canelo did a great job defensively, and landed amazing heavy leather combos in return, but GGG's chin is just too good.

GGG was mostly getting one or two good punches in at a time. GGG has cumulative power, not Mike Tyson take your head off in one punch power, and being able to get a number of full power shots in is important for GGG... But he didn't do it last night - the heavy strikes came in sporadically.

True about Jacobs. But Jacob's ability to tolerate GGG's power was attributed to his size advantage. So in the minds of GGG fans it was excusable. But in Nelo's case we have a smaller man seemingly impervious to GGG's direct supposedly devastating blows to the head. So now what are they to do?

A robbery is a robbery no matter how bad it was. 8-4 or 7-4-1 is the best score here. You can not give Canelo more than 5 rounds. The punch stats which in some cases are nearly DOUBLE for GGG are rounds judges gave to Canelo.

Where does this robbery rank? On a mega fight, way up there. Rob me, okay thats very bad. Mess with my reputation during the robbery process then you really hurt me. That's what happened to boxing and GGG last night.

A draw is rarely an outright robbery.

    This was Pea-Chavez 2.0.

The big money Mexican was outboxed, but they wouldn't let it get further than a draw. Both were luckily the robbery stopped at the draw and they didn't get a BS loss on the ledger.

The showboating did impress me. It is one thing doing it against a journeyman opponent, something else when you do it against GGG. Were those punches really not hurting Canelo? He went the distance so he can certainly take them. It looked like GGG was amused by it all. He didn't hold back by telling Canelo his punches weren't doing anything, just more subtle. Too much of a gentleman.

Canelo was light on his feet for most of it, I'm not sure if that is just down to how slow GGG moves. Whatever the case, I still thought he moved around well when he was not getting his head jabbed off on the ropes.

The power punches. I've looked at the stats. Canelo did look flashy, some nice combinations and I can only really recall jabs from Golovkin. Not that I have a problem with that. I know there was more but I'll have to check out the fight again. I know my thoughts on the result will never change.

    Some credit for Canelo.
All about Jorge Linares vs Luke Campbell now. :headbash

in terms of draws its just not bad at all! its fine, although I'd give a slight edge to 3G for being the aggressor.

but i agree with the single card thing - yet it has no bearing on the result.

There's nothing that she can say that would make me think she shouldn't be fired.

The victory was taken from GGG. That's pretty damn important.

7-5 for Golovkin, draw is a shitty result and Golovkin got robbed of being the undisputed champion this night. I hope there's a rematch so GGG can get more money.
