Where would you rate Dempsey with a win over Harry Wills?

I am not convinced that Wills is great enough to warrant him cracking the top 10...Is it only 1 fight that keeps Dempsey out of the top 10??? I am actually more a Dempsey fan than detractor...and he is inside my top 10 in favorite HW's.

    01 Louis
    02 Ali

    03 Holmes
    04 Foreman
    05 Lewis

    06 Marciano
    07 Frazier
    08 Tyson

    09 Johnson
    10 Holyfield

    11 Wlad
    12 Jeffries
    13 Liston
    14 Dempsey

Not sure why 1 win would (even over Wills; shoot add Greb to it if you want) would make me move him over those listed above, who in my mind have better resumes as well as longevity as elite. I wouldn't disagree strongly with those that do, but even adding 2-3 wins keeps him the 9-11 range for me.

Even if Willis was well past his best. I think Dempsey would be more respected for not drawing a color line.

I currently rank Dempsey 12th. A win over that version of Wills would definitely see him into the top 10 for me.

That's a big black mark (no pun intended) against his career along with ducking Greb. Jack was great but I myself would respect him much more had he taken those two fights.
