Where would you rate Fury P4P among elite British fighters down the years?

Would some fans say he`s the greatest British fighter of all time or in the top 5 or top 10 etc?

Not yet, he's effectivley beaten the last great heavyweight and one of the standout heavyweights of the next generation (kind of) it's a bit hazy due to Wilder being 3 years older. Eras are completely different, but that's not far of the equivalent of beating Liston and then Foreman/Frazier (not both) after a 3 year lay off.

Very high now. Look, the truth is we haven't even seen the best Fury, because his style would be suited to him being more lighter than he comes into fights. The guy is just awesome. You look at him, and you think there's no way this guy can box, and then he does what he does. A true natural boxer.

He's one of the best heavyweights. Probably not P4P, there's a lot of great earlier British fighters that tend to get overlooked.

By beating Klitschko he probably qualified as the #2 British heavyweight of all-time, behind Lennox Lewis.
But Britain hasn't had many good heavyweights historically, so he's nowhere in the running on greatest British boxers list if you like to rate "pound for pound".
The comeback this year just confirms Fury's quality, which many of us knew anyway, due to how he handle Klitschko. Wilder's a dangerous active fighter, and this guy Fury just came out of a hiatus where everyone said he was finished.

Talk about a desperate public lapping up modern mediocrity all the while being told it's the real deal. Worse yet, believing it.

In terms of post Lennox years my favourite fighter's are:

    Calzaghe
    Fury
    Frampton

Historically? Too many, I'd have to spend hours researching & I can't be arsed

Lets just say any heavyweight in History would struggle beating Tyson and either beat him by KO or a very tight decision

Fury did much better than you were predicting.
You scoff at his chances before the fight, now you find something to scoff at.
Fury's very good and you better believe it.

Wilder`s in his prime, he is better now than he was 3 years ago and is much quicker than Liston, Sonny didn`t know how to cut the ring off, Fury would have boxed his ears off, Foreman has stated that Fury and Wilder would have beaten him also.

I agree and I don`t know if anyone could have KO`d him, maybe Tyson or Louis because of their fast combo assaults or maybe a heavy with a great body attack, like how Frazier could rip hooks to the body as he did v Ali.
